The circular economy isn’t just about upcycling or relying on high-tech innovations. It’s about reimagining business models to reduce waste and maximize resource efficiency. Subscription-based services and rental strategies, for example, focus on utilization over ownership—keeping products in use longer and reducing abandonment after a single use. NORNORM, is an amazing example. Founded in 2020 by former IKEA manager Anders Jepsen along with venture capitalist and Skype co-creator Jonas Kjellberg with the purpose and vision to apply a circular model to office furniture. It is growing in Europe (likely more to come) for office furniture, where businesses rent instead of owning, maximizing value and minimizing waste. Similarly, that makes me recall Interface pioneered circular solutions in commercial flooring, including carpets, now accessible in major cities worldwide. These innovative models show us that thinking outside the box can drive a better, more sustainable future. The circular economy isn’t just a concept—it’s a solution. Let’s embrace it! 🌍 "𝑾𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒐 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒊𝒕" - 𝖲𝗂𝗋 𝖣𝖺𝗏𝗂𝖽 𝖠𝗍𝗍𝖾𝗇𝖻𝗈𝗋𝗈𝗎𝗀𝗁 #CircularEconomy #RethinkOwnership #BusinessModelDrivesValue Credit: Vojtech Vosecky
