Your company is not your family. Your boss isn't your parent. Your colleagues aren't your siblings. After you resign, most colleagues will disappear, with only a few staying as friends. Treat work as work. Respect professional relationships, but don't mix emotions. Ask for a raise when deserved, seek promotions when it's time, and call out toxicity when you see it. Move on when you need to. Don't replace your family with your company. #reality #corporatelife #healthcare

When it rains, it pours. Car got towed, I'm fine. No accident. But the car started acting up and making a really bad cranking metal noise, and the bottom of the car was vibrating like something was about to break. I pulled over and things are fine, but this is gonna cost a good penny. The good thing is nothing bad happened, I'm safe and fine. Which is all that matters. Back in 2007, I almost died from a drunk driver. Everyday I'm thankful I survived. Things sometimes happen for a reason, or atleast I think of it that way. But at the time, I couldn't think of any good reason for me almost dying and what good purpose that was for. I still don't. But everyday I wake up, and I think I was given more time in this life, and there maybe is a reason for that. So, with every interaction and person I speak with, I always lead with empathy, compassion and support. Because I know that life can be snuffed in a second....or close to it. And we need to enjoy the time we all have, and making good connections and friendships is important. #BeKind. Trying to look on the bright side of things. Yes, its alot of money, yes I could use a job. But I'm alive and made it home, and besides I have the best guardian angels I think. Today completes 1 Year of living Alone… It was really difficult & scary in the beginning but with time it started getting better. And now… I think I love it! No matter where in the world I go I will always remember my first home. I bought everything from zero. Started everything from zero. From a spoon to a bed to a Fridge to every single thing in my home. Kind of became my own parent. Haha Clean everything… managed everything on my own. It made me so responsible and even more mature than I was. No one really talks about the household work that needs to be done every day. That is also a work I guess. Living alone is quite difficult and not everyone can do it. Sometimes you don’t have any choice and sometimes you do it for experience. 💙 P.S. Have you ever lived alone? Would you like to try it in the future? #personalbranding #founders #work

“𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡?” “𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝?” These are just some of the things people might say or think when I go an extra mile or in this case hand deliver the Get-Well-Soon Hamper to my client, expressing my apologies, sincerity and concern. But for me I think that comparing between Client Acquisition and Client Retention. The latter is definitely the hardest. Because trust and connections are hard to build yet very easy to destroy. And there could be many factors and some times factor beyond my control that affects the trust. At the same time negative feedback from existing clients would make getting new clients hard. Think about it, if someone cannot take care of their existing clients, would you want to be their client knowing that you will also be neglected? Although it might not be my fault at all, but I’m in-charge and I was the one who handed over the helper. So I feel responsible to understand what happened, engage in mediation and corrective actions as well as expressing concern to the client family. Someone’s beloved family member was injured. As human beings, I should care. That is why instead of a traditional full time job I chose the Sales Agent roles. So that I can spend more time with my family as time with them is precious. Okay so this line is for those Cheapos out there: You might think woah, free hamper, discounts this and that. Sure, to get that… first you need to be my client. Second, you need to fall down in the toilet and sustain facial injury with skull fracture. With this hamper, I showed care for existing client and obtained new client contacts. It’s okay to find some time to decompress during the day. I forced myself to leave my desk today. I’ve been glued to my desk the few weeks. I’ve been working late late to ensure work doesn’t eat into time with my kids, which means I’m back at my desk after bedtime. I was looking at my calendar this week, and I knew I needed a minute. We had an All Hands meeting this morning, I snuck away, joined on my phone & listened while getting a pedicure. 💅 My work didn’t suffer, but I took a little time for me. I’m back at my desk and crushing tasks. If you need a reminder, here it is. Take break! Find an opportunity to step away. I do fully support 100% unplugged away time, I just didn’t have that today in my schedule, but I found something that worked for me. How do you find time during the day for you? I definitely need to get better at it. Share below👇 #timeaway #takeabreak #salesengineer #presales #salesleaders #techsales #saassales #solutionsengineer #wise #metime #womeninsales

This is such a heartbreaking reminder of how important it is to prioritize our well-being. Thank you for sharing this! Work-life balance is crucial not only for our physical health but also for mental clarity and emotional well-being. A few suggestions that might help others: 1. Set boundaries: Establish a firm cut-off time for work, and stick to it. When you’re off work, truly disconnect and focus on recharging. 2. Prioritize rest: Aim for at least 7–8 hours of sleep each night, and if possible, incorporate short breaks during the day to avoid burnout. 3. Engage in self-care: Take time for activities that bring joy and peace, whether it’s spending time with family, exercising, or practicing mindfulness. Your job will always be there, but your health and relationships are irreplaceable!
I read about a 26 year old lady who passed away because of the stress from work & lack of rest. She was working extended hours and getting 5 or less hours of sleep a night. She didn't have the time to rest, nor did she have the time to relax and unwind with family and friends. She was just starting her career and now she's gone! Unfortunately things like this happen too often. Pls remember to take a break from work! Make time to rest and spend quality time with the ones you love. Your job will replace you in a heartbeat but your family and loved ones will never be able to replace you! As much as it is an employees responsibility to take time off, it is also the employers responsibility to make sure their employees are granted the time off! Any employer who continues to reject your requests for a break should send you bright red flags 🚩 Listen to your body when it's telling you to take time to rest. NOTHING IS WORTH YOUR LIFE ❤️

Taking regular rest breaks during work is not just recommended; it's essential for maintaining long-term productivity and overall well-being. Studies show that employees who take short breaks are more focused, efficient, and less prone to errors compared to those who work without pauses. Rest breaks allow your body and mind to recover, reducing the risk of fatigue and burnout, which can impact both your performance and safety on the job. While jobs and positions can be replaced, your health cannot. Employers may find new people to fill roles, but your physical and mental well-being is irreplaceable. Prioritizing rest not only ensures you're performing at your best but also safeguards your long-term health. In the end, taking care of yourself is key to sustaining a successful and fulfilling career.
