Don’t get me wrong. It's a great place for professional growth but sometimes it can seem overwhelming. If someone is taking a well-needed career break, a woman takes an extended maternity leave, or someone is struggling to get a job, LinkedIn makes them feel how unproductive and useless they are. This is your reminder that even if you’re not on the top of the game it's okay. If you’re taking a break to re-evaluate your professional strategies, by all means, DO THAT! Some people also change their profession mid-way and that too is alright. Our circumstances can change and so can our priorities. There’s no need to do a side-by-side comparison with people online.
