It’s okay to find some time to decompress during the day. I forced myself to leave my desk today. I’ve been glued to my desk the few weeks. I’ve been working late late to ensure work doesn’t eat into time with my kids, which means I’m back at my desk after bedtime. I was looking at my calendar this week, and I knew I needed a minute. We had an All Hands meeting this morning, I snuck away, joined on my phone & listened while getting a pedicure. 💅 My work didn’t suffer, but I took a little time for me. I’m back at my desk and crushing tasks. If you need a reminder, here it is. Take break! Find an opportunity to step away. I do fully support 100% unplugged away time, I just didn’t have that today in my schedule, but I found something that worked for me. How do you find time during the day for you? I definitely need to get better at it. Share below👇 #timeaway #takeabreak #salesengineer #presales #salesleaders #techsales #saassales #solutionsengineer #wise #metime #womeninsales
Great reminder about stepping away! We have a small rescue farm (wife’s passion) and I walk out to our pet cow named Lucky and love on him!
Very good advice. Harder for some. e.g. some people are low in the strength of Zest. But it can be built. And as you described, well worth the effort.

9moEvery day for lunch I drive to pick it up or get the food to make it at the grocery store. Unless I’ve done drop off for our son Levi, this is my first time leaving the house. Then while I eat I catch up whatever show I am binging (something my won’t watch usually Marvel shows and movies). This clears my head gives my brain a much needed respite. NEVER apologize for time away— the great and aware leaders realize people have to recharge to consistently do their best work. Oh and I got a pedicure yesterday— I regret nothing!
