How Swiggy Built POP in 100 Days: A Story of Agility and User Focus 🚀 Building Swiggy POP was a masterclass in agility and customer obsession. Designed to simplify food ordering by offering a curated menu of single-serving meals at an affordable price, Swiggy POP was developed in just 100 days! 🗓️ What made this possible? 🔍 User-Centric Approach: They started by identifying a common user pain point—overwhelming options and the desire for quick, hassle-free meals. This insight drove the design and curation of a smaller, more focused menu. ⚙️ Cross-Functional Collaboration: The product, tech, and business teams worked in sync. From ideation to go-live, the process involved tight feedback loops, iterative testing, and a shared commitment to meet the 100-day deadline. 📈 Results? A win-win for users who wanted fast, simple meal options, and Swiggy, which saw increased order volume in high-density areas. This journey reinforced the power of speed, collaboration, and always keeping the user at the center. 💡 Here’s the full article by Taruna Manchanda, ex-Product Manager at Swiggy: https://lnkd.in/g3VHd5dk Image Illustration by Pallavi Bhargava #productdevelopment #agile #userexperience #crossfunctionalteams

Swiggy you never fail to amaze me! This new feature might not be revolutionary, but it certainly adds to the stickiness of the product. I was already a fan of the reorder feature, and now with the ability to store "Oh my, next time I will try this" items in one place, it just gets better. Great job, Swiggy! #ProductManagement #TechInnovation #CustomerExperience #FoodTech #ProductFeatures #Swiggy

🚀 #100DaysOfPM - Day 86 Hello everyone! In the product community, we often discuss the idea of a "magic bullet in #productdevelopment, but the reality is, it doesn't exist. Many promises of quick fixes end up disappointing. Some people criticize #Lean and #Agile methods for their shortcomings. But here's the truth: although Lean and Agile aren't magical solutions, their core #principles are extremely valuable. The key is to use them wisely. Many teams say they follow Lean but struggle to do so effectively. They might spend time and money on a product without confirming its appeal, or they might get stuck in #endless testing without making progress. Similarly, Agile methods can face challenges in real-world product development. However, the #bestteams overcome these obstacles by sticking to the basics while embracing innovation. Magic questions that can help ensure successful product development: 1. Will the user buy this (or choose to use it)? 2. Can the user figure out how to use this? 3. Can our engineers build this? 4. Can our stakeholders support this? Example: Swiggy🥗 #UserAdoption: Swiggy's seamless food delivery service addresses a clear market need, ensuring high user adoption and frequent usage. #UserExperience: The intuitive app design and clear instructions make it easy for users to order food and track deliveries hassle-free. #EngineeringExcellence: Swiggy's robust technology platform handles high order volumes and ensures fast delivery times, thanks to continuous innovation by its engineering team. #StakeholderSupport: Swiggy has garnered strong support from investors, restaurant partners, delivery partners, and regulatory authorities, driving its growth and success in the food delivery market. Please like, share, and comment with your thoughts on product development.

Understanding Product Discovery with Product Space 🚀 Product Discovery is the crucial process of understanding what to build, for whom, and why. It’s about digging deep to discover the real needs of users, aligning them with business goals, and ensuring that the product delivers value. Let's break it down with an example of Swiggy. When Swiggy first started, the idea was simple—food delivery at your doorstep. But they didn’t stop there. Through continuous product discovery, Swiggy identified pain points like long wait times, lack of variety, and poor customer service. They spoke to users, analyzed data, and tested various features. This led to the launch of Swiggy Genie (personal errands), Swiggy Instamart (quick grocery delivery), and hyperlocal services that weren’t initially in the plan. By focusing on what users truly needed, Swiggy evolved from just another food delivery app to a multi-service platform that fits seamlessly into the daily lives of millions. 🌟 Key Takeaway: Product Discovery isn’t a one-time task. It’s a continuous cycle of learning, testing, and refining. The more you understand your users, the better your product becomes. Keep discovering, keep iterating, and keep delivering value! ”𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗼𝗻! 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗱” #ProductManagement #ProductDiscovery #Innovation #Swiggy #IndiaTech #StartupSuccess #ProductSpace

Curious about what makes Swiggy the leading force in food delivery? Join me as we dissect the key ingredients behind Swiggy's recipe for success, and propose for newer innovations to further improve the user experience. 🥘 🍲 I am thrilled to present my latest project for the Aspiring Product Management Curriculum 3.0: Product Innovation for Swiggy! 🚀 It was amazing to learn the features, user experience, and business model of Swiggy. I looked at their user segmentation and personas, highlighted a few improvement points, and ultimately proposed to introduce SwiggyHost - a GenAI based chatbot, to be integrated with their search and support capabilities. I also hypothesized an MVP for this solution and worked up a Go-To-Market strategy and the metrics to track for success. Digging into one of my favorite apps led to some truly inspiring insights on how varied customer expectations Swiggy has to meet. Thank you so much Deepak HP, Malavikha A, Shiva kumar H S, Preeti Chouhan, Rahul N S, Anusha Prasad for your great feedback and continuous guidance. This is such a rewarding journey of learning and growing. Can't wait to apply this learning and bring innovation and purpose to my future projects! 🌟 #ProductManagement #AspiringPM #ProductInnovation #LearningJourney #Swiggy

Swiggy's order page is both exciting and funny! (Also, thanks Swiggy for missing me 😄) Let's break it down: - Delivery Type Section: Standard and Eco Saver 🛵 Product Impact: Grouping of deliveries can optimize time and routes for the rider, ensuring slightly better delivery times. 💼 Business Impact: Better optimization of rider's time? Instead of delivering one order at a time, the delivery person gets paid for 2 and Swiggy makes slightly better commissions per delivery. (Bonus: lower pollution 🌍) - Remember my choice for future orders: Ensures that the user doesn't have to select again, reducing user friction of inputs. - Offers and Benefits: Writing something cheesy here is a customer delight and also highlights savings. Higher NPS and decent clarity for the user on how much they're potentially saving. 😊 - One Benefits applied: This constantly reminds users that they are saving with every order! 💡 Product: User gets a clear direction on the amount saved and 'Free delivery' 📈 Business: User has a motivation to order more. Increase in repeat orders. 😃 #ProductManagement #CustomerExperience #BusinessStrategy #Swiggy #Innovation #UserExperience

The most awaited Group Ordering feature is live on Swiggy ! 🚀✨ In our office, coordinating food orders for everyone during lunch parties was always a bit of a hassle—balancing different preferences and ensuring everyone got what they liked wasn't easy. But with Swiggy’s new Group Ordering feature, I’m excited to see how smoothly our office party order goes next week! It's a brilliant feature to analyze from a PM lens, and I couldn’t resist wanting to do a teardown on it. Interestingly, Zomato has also mentioned that they've released a similar feature, but no one I know seems to have it yet, so I’m here to ask all the LinkedIn folks if it's live for any of you yet? Could it be that only a figma prototype is released as of now, seeing Swiggy going live with the feature? 🤔 Looking forward to doing a detailed product teardown of this feature and comparing Swiggy and Zomato's approach once it's available! #ProductTeardown #GroupOrdering #Swiggy #Zomato
