Express Wash Concepts names inaugural president Express Wash names first company president: Express Wash Concepts, which includes 103 express wash locations across Ohio, Detroit, Pittsburgh and Hampton Roads, Va., has appointed its first company president. Shawn Hummell, who has more than 20 years of retail leadership experience and worked most recently at Follett Higher Education, has been appointed EWC president and will oversee planning and implementation of the company’s strategy and future growth. As 2024 comes to a close, we chose to focus the December Branded Merch Network e-Newsletter on leadership. Throughout the year, I've had the privilege to share meaningful conversations with brilliant suppliers and distributors leading our industry in a positive direction. Good things are happening! In our December issue, I talked with Andrew Spellman from Therabody and the 2024 PPAI - Promotional Products Association International Board Chair about what's happening with the Association and their leadership role. It was a privilege to host Doug Jackson from Storm Creek, the first bluesign systems partner in the US, Brand Ambassador Roderick Brown, and Kutay Saritosun from bluesign in a conversation addressing why producing and selling clean products matter to discriminating buyers. Leading in this area drives good business.
