Connections & Cocktails: Our EU-Startups Summit Story!🇲🇹 Just got back from two incredible days at the Startups summit on Malta, and we are buzzing with the energy and connections we made!🔥 As our first international event, it definitely exceeded expectations. Marek Liška became a master of multi-tasking, juggling our booth, the main stage, and networking with other businesses. Lukáš Král was constantly discussing technical details about our platform. Meanwhile, I held down the fort at our booth, passionately explaining our platform to everyone who stopped by. And Daniel Hendrych captured everything on camera!🕺🏻 The summit itself was a goldmine for European startups. It provided a fantastic platform to showcase ideas, network with investors, industry leaders, and fellow entrepreneurs. From insightful chats to an exciting pitch competition showcasing Europe's brightest startups, there was something for everyone. Speaking of connections, the evening networking event was a masterclass in turning "business cards" into "business buddies." 🌟 Day 2 of the Social Innovation Bootcamp: Bridging Ideas and Cultures! - Part 1 🌟 The second day marked a significant milestone in our Social Innovation Bootcamp at WFI - Ingolstadt School of Management, as the synergy between our students and inspiring impact start-ups from Sub-Saharan Africa began to take shape. This event serves as the cornerstone of a semester-long collaboration aimed at addressing key business challenges through innovative solutions by our students. The day commenced with enlightening insights from Jennifer Merritt Faria and Iris Stewart-Frey, representing the Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship , shedding light on how students at Santa Clara University collaborate with impact start-ups in Global South countries to enhance positive social impact in developing communities. With the second day of the bootcamp initiating the collaboration between WFI students and impact start-ups, Dr. Eva Wack of SISTAC skillfully guided us through the intercultural and interpersonal dynamics crucial for successful collaboration. Her session empowered students and female founders alike to navigate the diverse cultural landscape of this international partnership, fostering an environment ripe for fruitful collaboration. The first half of our bootcamp Friday was illuminated by dynamic pitches from our remarkable female-led start-ups. These visionary entrepreneurs shared their innovative business models, captivating students with their passion and ingenuity. The room buzzed with energy as students engaged in insightful Q&A sessions, eager to comprehend the unique challenges and opportunities presented by each start-up.
