🌍 National Inclusion Week 🌍 This week, at Darlington Building Society we’re celebrating National Inclusion Week, and we couldn’t be more passionate about creating a workplace where everyone feels empowered to be their true, authentic selves. 💙 Inclusion is not just a buzzword for us—it’s at the heart of everything we do. We believe that everyone, regardless of their background or identity, should feel valued and recognised for their individuality without being segregated or singled out for it. Our goal is to continue building our culture where diversity thrives, and every individual feels like they belong, knowing that their unique perspectives make us stronger. Together, let's continue creating a workplace where every voice is heard and everyone feels seen. #NationalInclusionWeek #AuthenticityAtWork #InclusionMatters #BeYou #DiversityAndInclusion

It’s National Inclusion Week! This week is all about celebrating diversity and fostering inclusion in the workplace. Here are some steps you can take to create a more inclusive environment: Educate Yourself 📚 Take time to learn about different cultures, perspectives, and experiences. Understanding is the first step to inclusion. Encourage Open Dialogue 🗣️ Create a safe space for conversations where everyone feels heard and valued. Celebrate Differences 🎉 Recognise and appreciate the unique contributions that each individual brings to the team. Promote Equal Opportunities ⚖️ Ensure everyone has access to the same resources and opportunities, regardless of their background. Lead by Example 🌟 As a leader or team member, demonstrate inclusive behaviours in your everyday actions. Let’s make inclusion a part of our daily work culture, not just this week, but every day! #NationalInclusionWeek #InclusionMatters #DiversityAndInclusion #WorkplaceInclusion #CelebrateDiversity

How can you promote inclusion? This week is National Inclusion Week, which celebrates diversity and promotes inclusion by raising awareness about creating an inclusive society. Inclusion allows people to bring their whole selves to the table, which helps to bring in new perspectives, discover richer ideas, boost deeper collaborations and foster stronger communities both within work and outside of it. By promoting inclusion, you can increase creativity, innovation and overall wellbeing in your organisation. You can use National Inclusion Week to do the following: - Educate yourself on different cultures, experiences and perspectives. - Challenge your own biases and be mindful of the influence they have on your decisions. - Speak up when you notice exclusionary behaviour. - Actively listen and engage with people’s experiences with an open mind. We are half way through National Inclusion Week. This year's theme is Impact Matters, a clear reminder of the importance of acknowledging (and measuring) the impact of your actions towards building a more inclusive workplace. "There are a number of different ways that your organisation can gain a return from diversity and inclusion work, which go beyond monetary income and savings". If you want to know what they are and how you can make an impact, why not grab yourself a copy of The Inclusion Journey by Mo Kanjilal and Allegra Chapman. You can also check where your business is on its Inclusion Journey through a handy tool from Watch This Sp_ce (link in comments). #DiversityAndInclusion #InclusionMatters

National Inclusion Week is a time to celebrate diversity and commit to creating workspaces where everyone feels seen and valued. 💡 Inclusion goes beyond just having different voices at the table. It's about recognising the importance of intersectionality—the ways in which people's identities overlap and shape their experiences. As employers, embracing intersectionality is key. Acknowledging that challenges are not the same for everyone, means our solutions must reflect that. This is where impact matters and employers must involve everyone in their organisation in the conversation. 🌟 Learn more about how to become an inclusive employer of choice, by speaking to one of our team: https://lnkd.in/eiAaJQQ6 #InclusionMatters #DiversityAndInclusion #Intersectionality #Empowerment #NIW
