Hey fellow professionals and music lovers! As I learned about Skratch Attach, an innovative attachment that lets you play records on DJ controllers, I couldn't help but think about the parallels with our corporate world. In business, we often talk about disrupting the status quo, thinking outside the box, and pushing boundaries. Skratch Attach embodies these principles, bridging the gap between analog and digital music. 💥 It's a testament to the power of innovation and the importance of challenging conventional norms. Just as Skratch Attach enables DJs to seamlessly transition between vinyl and digital, we too can apply this mindset to our own industries. By embracing new technologies, collaborating across disciplines, and fostering a culture of creativity, we can: 1️⃣ Break down silos and unlock new possibilities 2️⃣ Drive growth through innovation and experimentation 3️⃣ Enhance customer experiences and stay ahead of the curve The Skratch Attach story serves as a reminder that innovation can come from unexpected places. As we navigate our own professional landscapes, let's keep an eye out for opportunities to shake things up and create new connections. Who's ready to spin their own tale of innovation and disruption? Share your own stories of challenging the norm and driving growth through creativity! #DJ #Innovation #Disruption #MusicMeetsBusiness #SkratchAttach #CorporateLearning

Read this deep dive on improving the quality of #StadiumSound and #ArenaSound. There are driving forces from audiences, who want to hear the same quality during sports events as at concerts. And from venues too – they face increasingly specific artists' riders for sound systems, want to explore the potential for #ImmersiveAudio, and to consider how better PAs could generate media spend. It's a complex equation: good quality sound to every seat (both badass bass and speech intelligibility), future-proofed systems that can accommodate immersive sound with d&b audiotechnik #dbSoundscape, and #NoizCalc software to ensure all that power doesn't annoy the neighbours. Happily, that's what we do best! “Keeping the sound on the seats and away from neighbouring residential areas has become more important in recent years" – the piece quotes Stephen Seable, Business Development – Installations, #dbaudio https://bit.ly/49COvoV

Luminate's 2024 Midyear Report is out, and I love seeing this slide. In short, the opportunity for independently distributed artists to gain large streaming volumes is growing - Independent artists with 1M-10M streams YTD - ⬆ 0.6 pts Independent artists with 10M-50M streams YTD - ⬆ 2.3 pts (now almost 40% of artists in this tier!) Independent artists with 50M-100M streams YTD - ⬆ 1.8 pts Independent artists with 100M-500M streams YTD - ⬆ 1.4 pts Independent artists with 500M+ streams YTD - ⬆ 2.7 pts With more competition from independently distributed artists, and those indies actually creating more sustainable revenue streams for themselves, I think we're going to see positive effects on not only the industry but on art as a whole. Which is especially important given we've reached a point where I think we need to support, protect, and value human artistry more than ever. And with all of this, comes even more of a need for artists and the teams around them to gain a better understanding into how they can drive this consumption, which is a good reminder on why we're doing what we do at Immensity.ai Kudos to Jaime Marconette and the whole Luminate team for yet another amazing report!! #musicindustry #musicstreaming

In late 2015, I stumbled upon a memo written by Dave Goldberg to Michael Lynton, which was revealed during the Sony hack and published by WikiLeaks. This document profoundly changed my perspective on the music industry, offering a wealth of strategic insights and predictions that remain relevant today. Goldberg’s foresight into the digital transformation of music, the critical importance of catalog music, and the restructuring of new releases provided a blueprint for understanding the evolution of the music business. His emphasis on operational efficiency and innovative digital licensing strategies has significantly influenced my approach to the industry. As we navigate through the ever-evolving landscape of music and technology, reflecting on such visionary insights helps us stay grounded and forward-thinking. Goldberg’s memo not only shaped my understanding but also fueled my passion for integrating music and technology in innovative ways. Stay tuned for a series of articles on MinyVinyl.com where I’ll delve deeper into Goldberg’s predictions, analyze Sony Music’s current standing, and explore what the next decade holds for the music industry. https://lnkd.in/enPR7Wtm #MusicIndustry #DigitalTransformation #DaveGoldberg #SonyMusic #MusicBusiness #Innovation #Technology #Leadership
