A: I transitioned from software development to Solutions Architect after joining a young startup (3 months old) that had built an MVP and wanted to understand customer needs in detail, exploring the opportunity of working with them. It led to me exploring the world of pre-sales and what it entails. 𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲? A: As a Solutions Architect, I work with Sales, Customer Success teams to ensure our customers succeed. In my interactions with customers, I begin by understanding the problems they want to solve and determine if Startree should partner with them to solve them. After that, I help customers hit their goals and evangelize the benefits of Apache Pinot in a grueling technical evaluation. Additionally, we ensure that our customers have a seamless onboarding experience and can get their technology up and running faster for maximum benefit. 𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁/𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺? A: We had been working with a large fintech for a proof of concept and we hit a temporary snag with multiple people chipped in with different solutions including the founder. Our engineering team turned this around within a few days and we won that customer over. This experience highlighted the incredible teamwork at StarTree. 🚀 Three Months at RevQore! 🚀 Three months ago, I was given the incredible opportunity to join a growing revenue operations and revenue technology consultancy. Reflecting on this journey, I wanted to share some of the highlights and exciting experiences from my first 3 months: 🎯 Embracing New Challenges: I've had the pleasure of learning about a variety of challenges faced by a number of new customers we have welcomed onboard. Many of them have operations or HQ in Germany and France, which is very exciting for me because I love the chance to be able to use German in a work setting again! 🤝 RevOps Meetups: Meeting passionate individuals who live and breathe RevOps has been a fantastic way to learn about what is keeping RevOps professionals up at night! 🌐 Building Partnerships: Getting to know our existing and potential new partners has been the best way to learn about the Revenue Tech Stack. Understanding the technologies/providers on the market and the problems they solve, has highlighted the importance of knowing your ideal customer. 👥 The RevQore Team: I am incredibly fortunate to work with a team of highly skilled and genuinely lovely people! 🌎 Planet RevOps Newsletter: After starting the newsletter around two months ago, it is incredible to have 236 subscribers. 🚀 Why the sudden focus on GTM and RevOps teams? These roles were always our go-to at NoCodeOps (acquired by Zapier). The people we talked to in these spaces were knee-deep in building and optimizing—sometimes without even realizing they were actually “no-coders.” The funny thing? Many of them didn’t identify as no-coders at first. They didn’t come in looking for “no-code” specifically—they just wanted tools that worked, fast. But when you look at the workflows, the solutions, and the automations they’re creating…no-code is exactly what they’re doing. Now, in my role at Zapier, I’m laser-focused on building a future where no-code becomes a cornerstone in the Enterprise, a future that serves both IT and Ops teams—not just one or the other. By concentrating on GTM and RevOps teams, we’re focusing on the folks with the most room to innovate in no/low-code at large companies. They’re often the first to build their own solutions and figure out how to get it done, usually without waiting for IT to do it for them. It’s fertile ground for understanding the interplay between IT and Ops when critical systems are involved. GTM and RevOps know the stakes, and they’re often the first to feel the push and pull of these two departments. The goal? To give both Ops and IT the freedom and control they need to work better together in this no-code world.

High-growth revenue goals can make RevOps feel like they’re holding onto a rocket that’s about to blast off! 🚀 With ambitious targets in sight, the pressure is on to build systems and processes that can support the rapid pace of expansion. It’s a wild ride, and the challenge lies in creating infrastructure that doesn’t just keep up but enables scale. From streamlining data flows to refining automation and optimizing workflows, RevOps teams are constantly strategizing, tweaking, and fine-tuning to keep everything running smoothly. ⚙️ But here’s the beauty of it: this pressure to adapt and innovate pushes RevOps to unlock new efficiencies and elevate performance in ways that steady growth wouldn’t demand. For the past year I’ve been leading our global revenue enablement team at Uber for Business. It’s been so fun to draw from my experience in enablement, sales, competency-based education, change management and customer success as our team helps grow this $2B business. I've struggled at times to overcome the perception that enablement is "just training." We’ve been designing competencies, building a robust tech strategy, coordinating global events and communications, and building innovative coaching and onboarding programs all in addition to "just training."
