Excited to share that I had the opportunity to share about the realities of the booming creator economy with Business Insider. While the influencer market is growing rapidly, the benefits don’t always trickle down to smaller or emerging creators. Established influencers often dominate brand budgets as safer investments, leaving less room for smaller players to secure opportunities or gain the recognition they need to grow. For many, this creates a frustrating cycle—feeling stuck despite their best efforts, especially when comparing themselves to top-tier creators. The pressure to stand out in such a crowded space can be overwhelming, leading some to consider giving up. Yet, what stands out most is the resilience of creators who are driven by passion. For them, it’s not just about landing brand deals—it’s about doing what they love. And that dedication is always inspiring. 💶 How much should creators charge brands to work with them? Let’s talk about it. This has been a grey area and a personal pain point of mine since working in influencer marketing. Why do some creators charge so much and others so little? And most importantly, why do some understand the value of what they ask while others don’t? 🤔 It’s also rare to see/hear an influencer in negotiations who shows a willingness to understand what the brand is looking for in a creator and how this impacts the fee. That’s why I was thrilled to contribute to Kristen Bousquet's article in Forbes 2 weeks ago - along with many other contributors - dedicated to creator fees, and what creators should know before sharing fees. 👏 You can read the full article in the comments (and Kristen's post too), but here’s a sneak peek into what impacts your fee: ☑ Qualified audience & qualified engagement ☑ Authority within your niche ☑ Are you in it for the short or long term? ☑ Is it exclusive or not? For any aspiring creator out there, I urge you to read the article. I’m all for fair creator monetization, and this will help brands and creators get on the same page. Do you agree? Anything else you’d add to the article? LMK in the comments👇 #InfluencerMarketing #CreatorEconomy

Instagram is rolling out a new feature that might help reduce anxiety for creators and social media executives! Creators will soon be able to test Reels with a small non-follower audience first, allowing for valuable feedback before sharing with their full follower base. This is an incredible opportunity to: ✅ Test new ideas and content strategies ✅ Get feedback from fresh eyes ✅ Optimize engagement by pushing winning content to followers later It's a smart move to refine and perfect your Reels before hitting the big stage! What do you think of this new feature?

🚀 Why Engagement is the #Real #Currency for #Creators? In the world of content creation, chasing follower counts can feel like running on a treadmill—lots of effort, but not much progress. The real game-changer? Engagement. Platforms like Instagram are evolving to prioritize content that resonates with audiences, not just numbers on a screen. Higher engagement means more visibility, better algorithm favor, and ultimately, greater opportunities for revenue. So, for new creators: focus on building authentic connections. A smaller, engaged audience is far more valuable than a massive one that simply scrolls by. Let’s talk about how to cultivate that engagement! 💬✨ #contentcreation #socialmediamarketing #engagementoverfollowers #creatoreconomy #instagrammarketing #digitalmarketing #audienceengagement #socialmediastrategy #influencermarketing #brandbuilding

Like it or not, The Hollywood Reporter’s inaugural Next Gen Content Creators list is a testament to how today’s creators are reshaping influence and entrepreneurship. These rising stars are turning creativity into cultural and business impact. Some standouts for us include: Meredith Hayden (@wishbonekitchen): Fuses lifestyle and culinary expertise in her “Day in the Life” videos. Her partnerships with All-Clad Metalcrafters and Etsy plus her upcoming cookbook reflect her ability to turn viral content into real-world success. Jordan Howlett (@jordan_the_stallion8): Creator of the Fast Food Secrets Club, his TikTok's have drawn 13.5M followers and collaborations with stars like Donald Glover and Kevin Hart. Olivia “Livvy” Dunne (@livvy): Louisiana State University gymnast who transformed her TikTok fame into $4M worth of brand deals after the NCAA’s NIL rule change, setting a new standard for student-athlete influencers. Quenlin Blackwell (@quenblackwell): Known for her YouTube series Feeding Starving Influencers, Quenlin is building her comedy and acting career, proving she’s more than her internet fame. Caleb Simpson (@calebwsimpson): His NYC apartment tour videos have garnered over 1B views, landing him brand partnerships and the potential for a TV adaptation of his viral concept. These creators are leading the charge in demonstrating that influence is more than just a metric—it's about building communities, brands, and lasting cultural relevance. At RAD Intel, we’re inspired by how these visionaries combine authenticity, creativity, and strategy to connect with their audiences. Through our AI-driven insights, we help brands partner with the right talent to deliver high-impact campaigns. Individual Creators vs. Company Pages on Instagram: A Rant 📢 It's June 23, 2024, and I'm here again to talk about the reach disparity between individual creators and company pages on Instagram. 😩 Let's face it, for creators trying to build a following and engage with their audience, Instagram's algorithm heavily favors individual accounts. Organic reach for company pages can be abysmal, while creators can consistently pull in high engagement rates. This isn't exactly breaking news, but it feels like I'm constantly having to explain this to people! If you're a brand or company looking to expand your reach on Instagram, focusing on collaborating with creators is a much more effective strategy than solely relying on your own page. Here's why partnering with creators is a win-win: * Authenticity: Creators have built trust and credibility with their audience, making their endorsements more believable. * Targeted Reach: Partner with creators whose audience aligns with your target demographic. * Engaged Community: Creators often have a more engaged following than brand pages. * Creative Content: Creators can develop engaging content that resonates with their audience. Let's move beyond the algorithm struggle and leverage the power of creators! 🤝 #instagram #creators #marketing #socialmedia #organicreach #collaboration #influencermarketing P.S. If you're an individual creator looking to connect with brands, drop a comment below and let me know your niche! 👇

Follower counts just don’t matter like they used to. Social media is moving from a "social graph" to an "interest-based" approach, meaning content reaches people interested in it, regardless of who’s following who. This shift is a game-changer for creators! Whether you have 5 or 5 million followers, the reach is driven by engagement. It's all about meaningful content, not follower numbers. So focus on adding value, and your content will find its audience! #SocialMediaTips #ContentStrategy #AudienceEngagement 4o
