Green Flag, Red Flag, or À la Poubelle? 🗑️🧐 Recently, I got tired of all the influencers with no personality and the same boring content, and I actually started to pay attention to the strategies of creators who stand out. One of my favourite examples is Gstaad Guy, who went from video creator to mainstream persona, by using a few tricks in his strategy: ▶ bond with your audience ▶ have a consistent style ▶ ... and pick a niche In the "À la Poubelle" series, he uses a strategy that brand experts would call "the common enemy". He humorously criticises characters that represent luxury and high-society nonsense. This approach brings his audience together by giving them something to unite against. He turns these characters into the "common enemy," to make the content relatable and enjoyable. Viewers feel connected and like they are standing up against the same ridiculous targets. 🤣🤌🏻 He has a consistent style and recognisable format that people look forward to, which keeps them coming back for more. Creating series like "À la Poubelle" and "Fantastique" is a great move for growth on TikTok because it encourages viewers to follow and stay engaged. Another pretty impressive part of his strategy is how he kind of created his own niche. He managed to build a unique space, by combining luxury critique with humour. Examples would be VERSUS, PAUSE Online (PAUSE), GUAP and many others (loads don't have LinkedIn accounts).
