Looking for your hard work to make an impact? Share with the STEM women you know (including you)! Nominate your team, your mentees, yourself. Lifechanging! The time I have spent with Angeliki Rigos and Epistimi.org this year has been lifechanging! Who came? Professors, Post Docs, Principal Investigators, Product Leads, Founders, Venture Capitalists. Where were they from? Takeda, Converse, Lego, NREL, Stanford, MIT, University of Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, University of Michigan, University of Tokyo, and many other schools, companies, and labs in.... Saudi Arabia, Bosnia, Nigeria, Iran, Greece, India, China, Australia, France, Japan...and many more. They are now moving forward into leadership roles as Professors, Lab Leads, Corporate Directors, Industry Leaders, and Founders. And they have become friends and colleagues to each other, around the world. This workshop is an amazing opportunity to hear valuable knowledge and experience from actual women with STEM careers, to have them share their insights on the real questions and experiences of attendees, to develop strategies together to improve the careers of these STEM women right away, and as they grow into leadership roles of Lab Leads, Corporate Directors, and Industry Leaders. This isn't theoretical. It is an opportunity to see the real concepts in action and develop solutions and tools to build a career of success and impact. I solved a career issue that I had wrestled with for over 20 years. How should I have interpreted that situation? What should I have said? What should I have done? What should I have taken away? My career would have been better. My life would have been better if I had this answer then. Sign up to be part of this cohort or a future one. This workshop is a pivotal event for these women who all aim for impact in their careers. I am honored to know them!

On the second day of our consultation program in Abudwaq, our Program Manager, Mr. Mohamed Abdullahi Ahmed, engaged with community leaders to discuss the program's objectives and the critical role of women's leadership in driving progress. He urged elders and district commissioners (DCs) to amplify women's voices and actively support their participation in decision-making processes. Strengthening women's leadership is not just a goal—it's a necessity for building resilient and prosperous communities. We thank all participants for their valuable contributions and look forward to continued collaboration in achieving these shared goals. As a member of the Board of Trustees for Sacred Heart Academy in Long Island, a school that has significantly shaped my family's lives across generations, I reflect on the impact of all-girls Catholic education. From a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy to the founder and CEO of Calabrese Consulting LLC, my journey underscores the profound influence of such educational environments on developing leadership, confidence, and empowerment among women. My career, spanning roles at KPMG, LLP to executive positions in publicly traded companies and founding a successful advisory firm, attests to the foundation built at Sacred Heart Academy. This institution is not just a cornerstone of academic excellence but a crucible for nurturing future leaders. The closure of Our Lady of Mercy Academy and insights from the Global Sisters Report highlight a pressing challenge for all-girls Catholic schools, emphasizing the importance of philanthropy in preserving their mission and values. As a community, we must acknowledge the imperative to support and invest in the education of young women, ensuring they are not only prepared to take their rightful place at the table but to lead with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to social justice. Supporting Sacred Heart Academy and similar institutions is not merely an act of generosity; it is an investment in a future where women leaders are recognized not for their rarity but for their transformative impact on our world. This act of giving back is not merely generosity; it's an investment in a future shaped by empowered women leaders, inspired by the values instilled in me by Sacred Heart Academy. #WomenInLeadership #GirlsEducation #EmpoweringWomen #CatholicEducation #AlumniGiving #Philanthropy #FutureLeaders #WomenEmpowerment #EducationForAll #LeadershipDevelopment #SacredHeartAcademy #SacredHeartAcademyAlumnae #calabrese

READY TO SERVE ON BOARDS? We at Strategic African Women In Leadership (SAWIL) and Board Partners - Board Academy Africa understand fully well that a well-structured Board Training Programme is crucial for developing skilled and knowledgeable directors. To ensure this opportunity is within reach, we have focused on four key elements: 1. Affordability: No other global program of this caliber is offered at such an accessible price, specifically tailored for aspiring board members. 2. Preferential Rates: Beyond the already exceptionally low cost, our members enjoy additional benefits with preferential rates aligned with their membership tier. 3. Payment Plan: Understanding that affordability can still pose a challenge, we have introduced a 4-Part Payment Plan, making this program even more accessible. 4. Corporate/Group Packages: Take this opportunity to your HR or line manager and encourage them to nominate you and 5-10 other high-potential candidates for this transformative training. This is how we change the narrative—by making deliberate efforts to be economically inclusive and by creating pathways for others to rise alongside us. Together, we are building a future where inclusive leadership is not just an aspiration but a reality. Register Now: leadership@sawil.org #AskAsanteOnBoards #SAWILTurns10
