Access to community events and public spaces is a vital part of living a full and inclusive life. However, for more than 8.4 million people who require assistance with personal care, attending these events can present significant challenges. The typical ADA-compliant restroom, though a step in the right direction, often falls short of providing the necessary accommodations. The lack of a clean, accommodating space that meets these needs can prevent individuals with disabilities, seniors, veterans, and others who need personal care assistance from fully participating in community activities. This is where Momentum Refresh comes in. Designed with Universal Design principles, Momentum Refresh is a groundbreaking solution that ensures all citizens receive the reasonable accommodations they require—wherever they go. Unlike traditional ADA-compliant restrooms, Momentum Refresh offers a mobile, clean, and fully equipped space that caters to the specific needs of those requiring personal care assistance. Momentum Refresh is not just a vehicle; it’s a gateway to greater inclusivity. For people with disabilities, seniors, and veterans, it provides the dignity of a safe and private space, allowing them to attend community events without worry. For businesses and venues that host large events, it offers a way to welcome all patrons, ensuring that no one is left behind due to inadequate facilities. And for communities committed to equity and commerce, it’s an investment in a more inclusive and vibrant public life. Whether it’s parked at a bustling public point of interest, stationed at a large live-venue event, or reserved for a private gathering, the Momentum Refresh vehicle is a versatile and essential tool in the movement toward true accessibility. By providing this service, communities and businesses can make a powerful statement: everyone deserves the opportunity to participate fully in public life, with the dignity and respect they deserve. Momentum Refresh is more than just a solution; it’s a commitment to inclusivity, equity, and community—a commitment that can go anywhere people want to be.

As I received encouragement from Annie Holcombe yesterday, here’s one more small piece of advice for every professional who is willing to grow. :)" 🌐 Keep Your Network Warm – and Use It! 🌐 Many of us have heard countless times how important it is to build a network of professionals. But how many of us are truly leveraging our networks to their full potential? With years, I’ve managed to develop a large network of IT professionals, spanning from Silicon Valley to Eastern Europe. Think about it: university connections, birthday parties, workplaces, friends, and family—how many people in your network are working in IT? As for myself, I make it a point to remember where my connections work, their roles, the size of their companies, what their companies do, and even the methodologies they use in development. I gather as much information as I can—(nothing sensitive of course). Why do I do this? Whenever I’m unsure about a decision or can’t find answers online, I reach out to them. I rely on real-life experiences, and I trust that my friends will be honest with me. “Hey, how’s it going? I have a problem. Have you dealt with something similar before? Oh really? Tell me more.” The support I’ve received from my network has been invaluable. For those who haven’t built this kind of network yet, one of my friends Ekaterina Bilenko (see my advice in action) recommended ADPList. It’s a platform where you can find a mentor or chat with someone who can help. I’ve used it, and trust me, it’s mind-blowing! #Networking #Mentorship #ITCommunity #CareerGrowth #ADPList

How you can attract Speaking Engagement to Your Inbox Part ✌️ of the Content to Speaking Mini Series. Now that you know you need to step up your content creation game... And post about your offers way more, The second part to people asking me to speak at their events is through community building. As a Line 4 in Human Design, I gravitate to those who are community builders because that's who I am. As someone who has networked A LOT in her business without any success, I shifted my energy and attention to only being in communities that I align with and they actually want to help me grow. And that is one reason I joined MOM Biz Boss, which is the community that asked me to speak at their retreat... Thus giving me the label International Speaker💃 Because of Mom Biz Boss, I spoke at the Sweatpants and Chill in Maryland with other Mom Biz Bosses! This community has been life giving and I've so enjoyed being in the group! I've made connections, received clients, became a client to members, and I attend their monthly online virtual meetings. This is not the only group I network at, but it's the main one. So if you're looking to be invited to speak more, get into the communities that will recognize you as the leader and speaker you are! If you're digging this, I have two more parts to this mini series. If you want to know my secrets to having people asking me to speak at their events, Then let me know in the comments and I'll tag you in Part 3 ✨️

🚀 Why Building in Public Matters! I recently wrote an article exploring the why and how of building in public. 🌍 Sharing your work as you create it isn't just a trend—it’s a powerful way to connect with a community, get real feedback, and stay accountable. Here are a few reasons why building in public can transform your journey: 1️⃣ Authentic Connections: People love to see the real process, complete with the highs and lows. It builds trust and attracts those who genuinely resonate with your vision. 2️⃣ Rapid Feedback: Posting your progress invites early feedback, helping you refine your work before launch. 3️⃣ Learning Out Loud: When you share your learnings, you’re helping others, too, and often getting new ideas from them in return. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gY62Gmdi Let’s chat! Have you tried building in public? What’s been your biggest learning? #BuildingInPublic #GrowthMindset #Community

It of course takes more than just saying you're inclusive for the impact to happen BUT if you are being and have implemented things to make your business accessible SHOUT ABOUT IT! People who require inclusive practices will more closer to you because you have made it clear you support these peoples needs. Now I don't know about you but if I knew I could show up and be able to experience an event at my own pace, have a space I could take a break from people, if I needed a hearing loop - it was available, if there was captions on the keynote speakers slides... all of this and more I would give me right arm to attend! If an event didn't mention anything about inclusion or at least be known for considering it - that is a hard no for me regardless of how great the event is! If I can't attend and feel my needs are met I just won't do it... I won't be the only one with this attitude towards only moving towards businesses where I have been considered - How much money could you be losing out as a result of this... If after this week your thinking I need to be doing better... Join us on the 15th August for Our Inclusive Design Workshop! Comment below for the link!
