  • 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆! 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵: Handing out business cards is enough... 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁: it might help, but CAN'T be your only strategy. As a designer for printed products it would be questionable if I dislike business cards. I actually love them and all the amazing things you can do with that small piece of card stock! However if all your doing is handing out business cards, you are setting yourself up to fail... 1. You are putting the trust in the other person to do the follow up. 2. Only collecting business cards is giving yourself or your team a massive job to complete the data entry into your CRM for follow up. 3. Limited space to sell your business on such a tiny card. What can you do to make them a better investment? QR Codes - Including a QR code on the card will allow you to give a whole lot more information without having to hand out magnifying glasses. - Including a digital form to collect data can make the follow up super easy (even more so if you automate the initial emails) and save so much time too! Make sure your business card isn't boring... No doubt people will have 100's of business cards by the end of the day. Make the design DIFFERENT! Good quality printing and card stock! Not only will the cards last a bit longer, but if they look & feel good to touch, its a bonus! What do you have on your business cards?

  • 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵: Bigger Stands = Better Stand 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁: Size isn't always the most important factor On this occasion, bigger doesn't equal better... Sorry to break that to you... If you have a stand that towers over everyone else's, or spans half the hall, doesn't mean you are going to have the best stand... This can actually be a disadvantage if you don't use it wisely. A few things to thing about when it comes to size: - Do you have enough support to man the space? - What do you have to show off in the area you have? - How can you work the space to your advantage? Need support getting your stand right and it not just being a roller banner... Download my Making Exhibiting Easi...er Guide! I can help you with the whole process not just the design work! https://lnkd.in/euGcrckb

  • 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆! 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵: Exhibiting is expensive... 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁: It CAN be, but doesn't HAVE to be. If you approach exhibiting without a plan to generate business or a strategies on how your going to use the event to your advantage - it will be a very expensive mistake... However if you go in knowing exactly what you want to achieve and how you're going to give it your all then it can be one of the best investments. Upfront fees can vary from ££ up to ££££+ for the stand space itself and then you need to consider how to present your business. I have design packages starting from £200 unto £1400, there is also the additional price of printing. The most important thing is to set a budget and stick to it - there is options! I'd love to discuss your ideas.

  • What on earth is this visual communication you keep speaking of... Visual communication is about using design and imagery to share information in a way that’s clear and engaging. Here are five key areas: 1. Signage – This might seem obvious, but clear and simple signage can make or break how people move around and take in key info at an event. This is often forgotten about or left to the last minute and done poorly. 2. Graphics – Things like infographics and charts can simplify even the most complex ideas, helping people get it quickly without feeling overwhelmed. 3. Typography – The fonts and layout you choose do more than just look good—they make the message easier to read and give off the right feel. 4. Photography and Imagery – Whether it’s photos or icons, visuals add personality and help tell a story in a way words alone can’t. 5. Branding – Consistent use of your logo, colours, and design style reinforces your brand, making it instantly recognisable. When you get these elements right, it makes information easier to digest and gives people a better experience—whether they’re at your event or just browsing your website! Need help building this into your business goals and plans for 2025? Book onto one of the two workshops I am running in NOVEMBER! https://lnkd.in/eSYM_hK4

  • Paper isn’t actually as bad for the environment as we might think. The thing is the paper industry use respected forestry certified schemes to ensure the virgin fibres originate from sustainable sources. Paper is also typically recycled 3.8x’s before it gets over worked and loses its overall structure. What can you do? 1. Print double sided! Using both sides of the paper not only can be a way of saving the amount of paper used but printing content on both sides increases the value you provide! 2. Recycle what you can once you have finished, both in the work place and at home. If you have clean – non-food/grease covered paper or card stock you can recycle it! Most places have specific bins for paper recycling but if not the local supermarket might just have one in the carpark! This series of posts are influenced by the great work that Two Sides are doing to re-educate people about paper and the industry! For more information on this head over to: https://lnkd.in/eZSS6hr

  • We don't know what we don't know. It is as simple as that. Whether it is your first event or your 50th, if you aren't told what is going well and what is going badly, how can you improve? Most people I meet genuinely want to do better at everything they do and ask for feedback regardless of it being positive or negative feedback. Now asking for feedback when you know things have gone a bit pear-shaped takes some balls because people who don't have a good time will be very willing to tell you everything that went wrong... BUT only by getting that feedback will you be able to learn and change it. Feedback offers fresh perspectives, helps you improve, and shows you value your audience's opinion. It also strengthens relationships and allows you to deliver an even better experience next time around. So, ask the hard questions—it’s the only way to see all angles and keep advancing.
