Here’s one key takeaway that hit me and Gosia Jaros-White hard as we headed back home after attending the National Summer Learning Association Summit this week: there’s no time for despair or fear. The challenges our kids face are real, but so is our collective power to overcome them. Yup, it’s time to exercise radical collaboration. We must mobilize passionately, tearing down silos and working together to create a future where all kids—regardless of their circumstances—can thrive. The positive energy at the summit was undeniable. For three days leaders, educators, policymakers, and advocates came together with one mission: to ensure every child has access to learning, opportunities, and fun. When we collaborate boldly and with purpose, we can eliminate barriers and inspire lasting change. It starts with showing up, speaking out, and taking action for the kids who need us the most. Here’s how: https://lnkd.in/eWpnJ6KF

Science confirms what common sense suggests: children's experiences in their first five years can profoundly shape their chances later in life. Throughout the election and the upcoming Congress/administration, our leaders will have the chance to invest in this understanding and uplift early learning by focusing on performance and results. This includes building a strong early educator workforce, promoting innovative early childhood investments in research, data, and systems to determine the most effective ways to meet our childrens’ needs, and more. It’s such a false dichotomy! High quality family engagement is directly linked to improving all of those outcomes. I’ve been collaborating with Rebecca Honig, Weezie Hough, and Dr. Mallary Swartz to surface the research. This info session will be our second deep dive, this time into the link between academic success and family engagement.
Register now for our upcoming Live Info Session on September 11th at 1 PM ET. In just 35 minutes, we’ll take a deep dive into how our evidence-based family engagement program supports academic success. Don’t miss out! Register here: https://bit.ly/3AWWtOf
