Types Of Cells !!! There are four main types of cells: Prokaryotic, Plant, Animal, and Protist/Fungal. Prokaryotic cells, found in bacteria, lack a nucleus and are simple. Plant cells have rigid walls, chloroplasts for photosynthesis, and a nucleus. Animal cells lack walls, have flexible membranes, and a nucleus. Protist cells, including algae and protozoa, are diverse with unique features. Fungal cells have chitin walls, no chloroplasts, and obtain nutrients through specialized hyphae.
