As we approach the end of our fiscal year, we find ourselves facing a critical challenge. Be Strong Families has a $15,000 funding gap we urgently need to fill by June 30, 2024. Did you know in 2023, the US Surgeon General declared an epidemic on loneliness? Claiming our communities are starved of social connection and community, warning us of the profound threat it holds on our health, including about a 50% increased risk of dementia and other serious medical conditions. Finding community is no longer a suggestion—it is necessary! This is where Be Strong Families steps in. We're dedicated to combating social isolation in every thread of who we are and what we do. That's why our mission is Reweaving the Fabric of Society: One Conversation at a Time. From fostering meaningful conversations, creating community, providing opportunities, and letting that model grow and thrive throughout the world. How do we do this? Through our Cafés, our youth leadership programs, our products, our trainings and webinars on topics like avoiding burnout, impacting addiction with family training and empowerment, how parents and teachers can combat racism in children, and so much more! We need your help to expand and develop our reach into areas where our impact is needed most. Every donation, purchase, and share of this email brings us closer to bridging this funding gap and making a real difference in the lives of our community. I am asking for your help, please. 339 days... (#AndCounting) without Safe harbor for youth. This further hurts the most vulnerable demographics (impoverished, traumatized, mentally unwell, women/girls, people of color, LGBT and gender-nonconforming, disabled, mentally unwell, orphaned, throwaways...) It denies them basic needs, #mentalhealth services, and the opportunity to change the #trajectory of their lives. When I ran at 17, the #shelter provided more than a roof, bed, and food. It encouraged self-reflection, held me accountable for growth, and never stopped being available. Any former client could visit, and then did! They came to talk to staff (which I was 3 times), reminisce, share good news or bad, seek advice, guidance, resources... Because most of the youth had no parent or adult in their lives to guide them or for them to show off to and boast about accomplishments otherwise unseen and uncelebrated. It leaves little room to develop pride, self-esteem and -confidence. They came back when they needed to go #Home. The help never ended. Because help is always there, when we look for it, when we actively seek it out. I am asking for #YOURHELP NOW: For your time, your money, your involvement as CLCL Foundation seeks to expand the movement to #ENDYouthHomelessness with innovative ideas, community-based approaches, trauma-informed services, that are inclusive and accessible to all in need. Because this problem is not unique to Ocean and Monmouth Counties, #NJ. It is a #NationalCrisis, an #Epidemic, and our actions CAN BE the remedy. If we act together -- WE could #ChangetheWorld. CLCL Foundation seeks to provide these innovative solution-based services. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Choose love. Celebrate life. seeks to be A Foundation for Youth and Families, both now and in the future. JOIN US! DONATE TODAY at https://clclfoundation.org **Board Positions Currently Available! It’s the most wonderful time of the year—and the most generous. Join the #GivingTuesday movement and give back to causes you care about. This Giving Tuesday, consider donating to HRI's Give Hope, Drive Change campaign to support life-changing research for mental health and substance use health. The transition to adulthood is a critical time, but many young people face unique challenges that leave them vulnerable to mental health struggles. That's why HRI is expanding our efforts to help transition-age youth. Your gift will help drive research forward — launching new studies, identifying new treatments and building partnerships to uncover the solutions we urgently need. Together, we can bring real hope to young adults facing mental health and substance use challenges. Make a one-time donation or become a monthly donor to support vital research throughout the year. Donate by December 31st and our partners at Homewood Health will match your gift, dollar-for-dollar, doubling your impact. #MentalHealthResearch #SubstanceUse #SubstanceUseHealth #addictionmedicine #MentalHealth

THEY SAY we can't truly understand the struggles of the homeless, orphans, and amputees in remote areas, as their experiences are often far removed from our own daily lives. These individuals face challenges that are both profound and complex, encompassing not only the lack of basic necessities but also the emotional and psychological burdens that come with their circumstances. #HomelessnessAwareness #SupportOrphans #AmputeeChallenges Yet, Blessed Care International firmly believes that with our unique local insight and a deep commitment to empathy, we can bridge this gap in understanding. By immersing ourselves in the communities we aim to serve, we strive to relate personally to their experiences and make a meaningful difference in their lives. 🌍💙 #BlessedCareInternational #CommunitySupport Our approach involves living among those we serve, allowing us to gain firsthand knowledge of their needs and challenges. This proximity enables us to provide essential resources and support that are tailored to their specific situations. Whether it's through offering food, shelter, medical care, or educational opportunities, our goal is to empower these individuals and help them build a better future. #Empowerment #TailoredSupport For more information about our initiatives and how you can get involved, please feel free to reach out to us at +233238541809 or +233541939393. ⭐The Big Give Christmas Challenge is back! ⭐ Once again, we're taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge. From 12pm on 3 December until 12pm on 10 December, every penny you give through the Big Give website will be doubled. This means one donation will make twice the impact. This year, we'll be fundraising for our Early Intervention Service for Young People aged 11-18. This free service provides tailored support for those that need it most. The number of children and young people who are waiting for mental health support in West Kent is over double any other area in Kent and Medway. It's statistics like this that highlight the importance of programmes like our Early Intervention Service. That's why we're asking you to donate to our Big Give Christmas Challenge. It's only through your support that we're able to provide this service. And children and young people with mental health problems need our help now more than ever. The Big Give Christmas Challenge goes live on Tuesday, 3 December, so remember to save the date! Please keep an eye on our social media channels and website for more information about how you can get involved. 🗓️ Tuesday, 3 December - Tuesday, 10 December #BigGiveChristmasChallenge #SaveTheDate #TeamWestKentMind #WestKentMind #TeamWKM #ChildrenAndYoungPeople #ChildrenAndYoungPeopleServices #ChildrenAndYoungPeopleProgramme #ChildrenAndYoungPeopleMentalHealthServices #ChildrenAndYoungPeopleMentalHealthSupport #MentalHealth #MentalHealthSupport #MentalHealthProgramme #MentalHealthServices #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealthRecovery #SupportLocal #LocalSupport #MentalHealthCharity #SmallCharity #LocalCharity #SmallLocalCharity #SmallMentalHealthCharity

AIN'T NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH! On Saturday 17th August, 2 of the team from So Fresh and So Clean, will take on mount Snowdon, in the first fundraiser for MoreSo - Clean Beginnings. Laura Dent and Louise Muir-Sage have decided to scale the highest peak in Wales, to raise awareness of the new charity which aims to provide individuals in the community living in unsafe conditions with deep home cleaning services. This will then allow those who need support to have a safe place to focus on recovery or treatment. This includes but is not limited to those with: Chronic Mental Health Issues Post-Partum Depression Chronic Illness (i.e. Cancer, Auto-Immune Disorder, Diabetes) Disability (Long or Short Term) Every day, hundreds of members of our community live in less than ideal conditions. Whether it be mental health, a chronic illness, or a long term disability, some individuals aren’t able to maintain their homes. When this is the case, their homes can become a prison. Everyone should be entitled to the safe and healthy space they may need to focus on treatment or recovery. That’s where we intend to come in. By giving them a clean home and access to other community resources, these people- our neighbours, our friends, our family- can have the chance to not just survive but thrive. You can show your support by making a donation on the link. https://lnkd.in/exCGBQmV #thamesvalleychamberofcommerce #Businesswise #swindonbusiness #swindoncleaners #givingback #charity
