As a former Upper West Side resident and a devoted Zabar's shopper, helping this iconic New York City institution celebrate its 90th anniversary has been one of the absolute joys of my career. Last Sunday night, alongside the Marino. team, we produced a special influencer event at the store that was nothing short of magical. The event brought together an all-star lineup of New York creators, foodies, and chefs, including Morgan Raum of Lox Club & ToooMuchFoood, @eitanthegoalie, @tokinjew, @oldjewishmen, @koshadillz, Chef Jacques Torres, @silly_jake, and many more. We celebrated nine decades of culinary excellence with the Zabar family, enjoying the legendary foods that have made Zabar’s world-famous—smoked salmon from the iconic appetizing counter, caviar, cheese, deli items, coffee, and so much more. The love for the brand was palpable throughout the evening, especially as guests partied with Stanley Zabar himself. Stanley has been present for all 90 years of Zabar’s history, but it’s safe to assume this was his first influencer event—and he absolutely crushed it! Beyond the event, we extended the celebration nationwide with special gift sets featuring Zabar’s delectable smoked salmon, irresistible babka, the planet’s best black-and-white cookies (fight me if you disagree, go on), house-roasted coffee, fresh cream cheeses, and many other beloved items that have defined Zabar’s for generations. A heartfelt thank you to Annie Zabar & the entire Zabar family, Scott Goldshine & the amazing staff-- and every creator who joined this incredible celebration, both in person and on social media.
