  • When One Times Square opens to the public next year, the Crystal VIP Experience will offer visitors the opportunity to install a crystal on the iconic Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball. To preview the experience, New Yorkers and visitors in Times Square yesterday were invited to replace an old crystal with a newly designed 2025 crystal on an interactive display. As part of the activation, participants also got to take home a crystal triangle from a past New Year's Eve Ball as their own keepsake. The event marked another step toward the upcoming New Year, as the Ball prepares for its debut with all 2,688 new crystals installed, ready to drop on New Year’s Eve.

  • 2025 has arrived in Times Square- literally. The seven-foot-tall numerals for 2025 are now on display in Times Square, kicking off the countdown to the new year. The numerals will be hoisted to the top of One Times Square on December 26, ready to be lit as we ring in 2025.

  • The New Year's Eve Ball at One Times Square is one of the most recognizable symbols of the new year. The tradition of the ball drop originates from an old maritime practice where a time ball would be lowered, allowing the captains of nearby ships to precisely set their navigational instruments. This practice was brought to One Times Square in 1907 to replace the lighting of fireworks, which posed a fire risk at the time. Since then, the ball has dropped from atop One Times Square at midnight to usher in the new year. The current ball is actually the seventh iteration, evolving from a humble iron and wooden ball with 100 lightbulbs in 1907 to the present ball that weighs nearly 12,000 pounds and features 32,256 LEDs. We're now less than three weeks away from lowering the ball once again for an estimated audience of over 1 billion viewers. For people around the world, the New Year's Eve Ball is a marker of tradition--one that we're proud to continue as we redevelop this monumental building into a year-round entertainment destination.

  • We believe green spaces play an essential role in our neighborhoods, providing space for recreation and a connection to nature, as well as supporting physical and mental health on a community scale. In that spirit, we've joined Forest for All NYC—a diverse and growing coalition of more than 170 organizations—in calling for 30% tree canopy cover in New York City by 2035. According to the USDA, an extensive tree canopy plays a vital role in improving air quality, reducing urban heat effect, and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents. We see these benefits clearly in Atlanta, which has nearly 50% tree canopy cover, and intend to be part of the solution in New York. #commercialrealestate #CRE #sustainability #trees

  • Over the past few weeks, we've welcomed tens of thousands of visitors to properties across our portfolio to kick off the holiday season. From a tree lighting event that welcomed over 40,000 visitors at Avalon in Alpharetta, Georgia, to a choir performance at Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco, California, as well as a holiday parade with Santa at Birkdale Village in Huntersville, North Carolina and decorative displays at Schanzenstrasse in Cologne, Germany—our properties have come alive with the magic of the holidays. These events and activations have not only increased foot traffic, but also provided memorable experiences for our visitors. #commercialrealestate #CRE #holidays #retail

Conceived by renowned designer Olivier Landreville, Horizon offers a reflective experience designed to inspire imagination and provide a sense of serenity. Guests are invited to sit back in artfully-curved chairs and look up at three unique visuals—featuring themes of a starry vault, flock of birds, and calming canopy. • The reimagined Town Square at Ridge Hill in the New York City suburb of Yonkers is officially open. Designed to be a gathering place for the community, the new area includes 25,000 square feet of amenities—from green space to a sculptural playground, covered performance stage, and large-format LED screen for outdoor movies, live sports, and more. Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano joined our team for a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the step forward in the property's ongoing redevelopment. Days later, the space kicked off the holiday season with a tree lighting event that included live music and an appearance from Santa. #commericalrealestate #CRE #redevelopment #Yonkers
