Did you know State of Ohio agencies partner with career-technical education (CTE) programs to provide students work-based learning opportunities during their senior year? On December 11, Ohio Department of Administrative Services, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Ohio Department of Transportation and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) staff participated in the Columbus City Schools - Ohio CTE Showcase event. The CTE Showcase event was an opportunity for CCS students to explore available careers and technical education programs. The OOD mobile services unit was also at the event to share information about the support available to students with disabilities. Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities can begin serving students with disabilities at age 14 to help them get a jump start on their careers.
