Congratulations to Houston partner James McInerny on his recent success in defending a client against an employment discrimination complaint filed with the Texas Workforce Commission. In the complaint, an employee claimed her employer discriminated against her by denying her a promotion, citing multiple protected classes as the grounds for the alleged wrongdoing. After a thorough investigation, the Commission supported the employer’s refuting of the claim, concluding that there was no evidence that the alleged discrimination took place and that the case was not sufficiently proven. The result marks a significant administrative victory. #sbsbeastham

New Orleans Managing Partner Jonathan Tweedy and T-Van Galjour recently hosted clients at the 25th Annual Crescent City Corporate Championship Golf Tournament at Beau Chene Country Club in Mandeville, Louisiana. Blessey Marine Services raised over $400,000, with 100% of the proceeds ultimately going toward programs geared toward financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship. We take pride in supporting these wonderful initiatives and thank Thomas J. "Beau" Bethune IV, Ray Schaefer, Ashley-Lauren Barocco Colomb, Melissa Binder and so many others for their help! #sbsbeastham
