This month, our amazing team at the Cohen Cancer Center at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children's Hospital of New Jersey RWJBarnabas Health Rutgers Cancer Institute came together to spread holiday cheer. For the past 5 years the team has been collecting toys to share each year with the children of current patients who are undergoing hardships as part of their annual Holiday Gift-a-Family program. This heartwarming event filled with joy and gratitude helps patients like Nanci, who is raising her 3-year-old son and battling metastatic colon cancer. "Every day, I thank God for this team," she said. To keep the festive spirit alive, the team also celebrated Ugly Sweater Day, bringing smiles, laughter, and a touch of holiday fun to everyone. Nanci is one of 6 families who will receive gifts this year. Happy Holidays!
