It takes a village (and nearly six weeks!) to create the festive magic of the Holiday Hallway at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). Members of eight shop departments at MSK made the hallway shine this year with more than 22,000 lights, more than 300 houses and structures, and 22 elves on a shelf. They also erected six large toy soldiers and a five-foot-tall carousel and assembled 250 linear feet of train track. “Each light and ornament is a reminder to the brave children, their families, and everyone that comes through the space that even in the toughest battles, moments of magic and warmth are possible," says Edward Bujnak, Associate Director of Facilities Management at MSK. Watch the entire process here.
