A game changer in construction layouts! We experienced the extraordinary power of the HP SitePrint at our UpperRoom Church project in Dallas. In just one day, SitePrint laid out 15,000 sqft of wall layouts, wall-type tags, AV receptacles, fire protection hangers and heads, door swings, door tags, and even the hardware schedule. Our VDC Interns got an up-close look at this revolutionary technology and hands-on learning from our HP Partners. Would you use this on one of your projects?

Programs like P-TECH (Pathways in Technology) are shaping the next generation of construction leaders. By combining education with real-world experience, P-TECH graduates enter the industry with a head start — armed with knowledge, hands-on training, and the tools to succeed. These students earned a Level 1 Certificate in Carpentry Specialization and OSHA 30 certification from Austin Community College. They each have different plans after graduation, but all are pursuing careers in construction. Some are going on to college to pursue degrees in Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Interior Design, and others are heading straight into the trades. Since 2012, RO has been proud to support the Austin Independent School District Construction Technology Program and watch it grow. Investing in students today builds the workforce of tomorrow.

Even though temperatures are cooling down, safety is always in season! RO is one of 18 companies to win OSHA’s Beat the Heat National Contest this summer. The contest challenged workplaces to showcase how they keep teams safe from heat hazards in both indoor and outdoor environments. We shared the innovative strategies we implement, like cooling stations and the Safeguard Heat Sensors, to prioritize safety. At RO, safety is more than a commitment—it’s the standard we uphold year-round.

Prioritize safety and deliver excellence! That was the moto for the AMN Healthcare project team and their hard work was recognized by earning the Engineering News-Record Texas/Louisiana Excellence in Safety, Award of Merit. Finishing ahead of schedule, the team delivered 92,420 square feet of office space, overcoming challenges like a three-story staircase installation and working in an occupied building with strict noise requirements. Using a digitized safety and quality program powered by Procore Technologies the team ensured seamless coordination and top-notch safety standards. A special shoutout to Rustin Page and Juan Garza for representing the team at the ENR TX/LA Best Projects Gala. Congratulations, team!
