OBA is thrilled to recognize Ron Green, President and CEO of Oregon Pacific Bank, as the 2024 recipient of the Frank E. Brawner Advocacy Award. This prestigious award celebrates exceptional leadership in advocacy—a mission Ron embodies through his tireless work on behalf of Oregon’s banking industry. From engaging with legislators to leading on critical issues, Ron has shown what it means to advocate with courage and conviction. Notably, his leadership in opposing Measure 118, a gross receipts tax proposal, helped rally opposition and protect Oregon banks and businesses. The Frank E. Brawner Advocacy Award, named for OBA’s longtime CEO and fierce industry advocate, honors those who fight to protect and advance the future of Oregon banking. The OBA is proud to recognize S. Randolph (Randy) Compton, former president, CEO, and board chairman of Pioneer Trust Bank, as the newest inductee into the Oregon Bankers Hall of Fame. With an extraordinary 49-year career—47 of those at Pioneer Trust Bank—Randy’s contributions to Oregon’s banking industry and his community have set a gold standard for leadership and service. As a third-generation leader of the family-owned bank, Randy helped preserve the bank’s legacy as a cornerstone of independent community banking. His impact didn’t stop at the bank’s doors. Randy’s commitment to public service and access to justice earned him accolades like the Henry H. Hewitt Access to Justice Award and the Oregon State Bar President’s Public Leadership Award, a testament to decades of dedication to causes like the Oregon Law Foundation. Randy Compton now joins an elite group of 85 leaders whose vision, service, and values have shaped Oregon’s banking industry and communities. His commitment to giving back is equally impressive—whether funding youth sports, creating scholarships, or supporting causes close to his employees' hearts, Mark ensures that Seaside prospers alongside his ventures. As part of the award, OBA presented Mark with a $1,000 donation to Seaside High School, which he generously matched to establish a $2,000 annual scholarship for local students—one he’s pledged to continue indefinitely.
