Bonnie Allen-Sailor from OLF grantee Northwest Workers' Justice Project is going to be part of this fantastic City Club event addressing labor trafficking. Forced and coercive labor exist in Oregon, and OLF grantees are part of the effort to put an end to these practices.
I'll be speaking at a City Club event this Wednesday night at Kells Irish Pub, along with some really incredible people who do crucial work to combat labor trafficking in Oregon. Would love to see some of you there! Please register at the link on eventbrite (in the info below) so we can know how many folks will be showing up. ~Kimberly

The OLF is proud of the work Oregon's legal community puts into supporting justice for all and is proud that our grantees make a difference in peoples' lives.
This month, members of the Oregon legal community attended ABA Day in Washington, D.C., where they met with lawmakers and worked to support Legal Services Corporations funding to advance access to justice. Did you know? In Oregon, 75% of low-income individuals face life-changing legal problems and most cannot access the professional assistance they need to protect their rights. ⚖️ These issues perpetuate poverty. You can help support #CivilLegalAid in Oregon. Donating to our friends at the Campaign For Equal Justice funds civil legal aid in every Oregon county - it's an investment in our communities & economic well-being. #OppositeOfPoverty #PovertyInAmericaAwarenessMonth
