Congratulations to the winners of the Future Explorers Challenge from Dundee Precious Metals Inc.!
The challenge offered a USD $250,000 prize pool and attracted hundreds of #AI and geoscience specialists from 37 different countries to uncover new targets for mineral recovery using DPM data.
For the last 6 months, the 15 finalist teams competed to build the best new approaches combining machine learning, AI, and geoscience.
“We are thrilled to congratulate all of the teams on their phenomenal work during the challenge,” said Francis Stewart, Director, Innovation at Dundee Precious Metals Inc. “We are also proud of the multiple DPM teams who came together to successfully deliver a cross-functional and multi-disciplinary collaborative data challenge, a first for our organization. The main objectives were to develop new exploration capabilities and the potential discovery of significant new deposits, and we now look forward to collaborating with these top innovators to unlock additional value from our data.”
