Who will develop the best new method for predicting #gold and #copper deposits?   A panel of expert judges from Dundee Precious Metals Inc. has selected 15 top teams from over 200 participants to advance to Stage Two of the Future Explorers Challenge!   These teams will compete for a share of the $250,000 prize pool and the glory of creating an innovative approach to exploration targeting. The diverse backgrounds and skills of the participants made this challenge into a true global phenomenon. People from an incredible 37 different countries participated in Stage One. The quality of approaches proposed was simply outstanding - world class! There were teams from top universities, private companies, and startups. Perhaps even more exciting, there were new teams that came together for the first time, combining deep #geology expertise with top data science and #ml skills. That made it an especially difficult task for the judges to select only 15 teams for Stage Two. Well done to all who participated in Stage One, and best of luck to those embarking on Stage Two!
