  • The Cleveland Museum of Natural History was just named the first museum in the country to achieve the highest possible US Green Building designation: LEED v4 (BD+C NC) Platinum! The honor is a testament to the museum's commitment to sustainability and the work of DLR Group and the design team over multiple phases, including Osborn Engineering. The HVAC plant was credited with providing a 32% energy advantage vs. ASHRAE 90.1 2010 and includes both a Multistack modular water cooled magnetic bearing chiller and modular heat recovery chiller. More impressively, Osborn's central utility plant redesign achieved: ✅ First cost reduction ✅ Year 1 energy savings ✅ Space reduction ✅ Increase in capacity ✅ Noise reduction ✅ Maintenance savings ✅ Simplified controls The museum's official Grand Opening celebration takes place December 13-15. Congratulations to the CMNH and the entire design and construction team. It was an honor for Gardiner and Multistack to be included on the project. #GardinerDoesIt #LEED

  • This Thanksgiving, we want to reflect on what we think makes Gardiner truly special: our people, our clients and our partners. Whether you’re a part of our team, a client we have the privilege of working with or friend in the industry, we are fortunate to be part of such a great community. Thank you for the trust you place in us, the challenges you bring that push us to be better, and the long-term relationships that have made this work so meaningful to us since our start in 1962. As we gather and enjoy time with our families and loved ones, we’re reminded that it’s not just what we do, but who we do it with that matters most. From all of us at Gardiner, Happy Thanksgiving! #GardinerDoesIt. #HappyThanksgiving #Grateful

  • Toledo is home to the National Museum of the Great Lakes, an institution dedicated to preserving and celebrating the storied history of one of the most important resources on our continent. Exciting to see these Valent Air Management rooftop units be part of the "Second Wave" project and part of the story of this great museum as it expands! #GardinerDoesIt.

🚧 Second Wave Expansion Update! 🚧 Today, we witnessed a high-flying milestone as our new HVAC units were lifted into place atop the roof of our soon-to-be 5,000-square-foot addition! Watching these massive units soar through the air was an incredible sight and a reminder that we’re one step closer to completing this exciting project. Want to see more behind-the-scenes updates? Are you looking for a smarter approach to building maintenance? Most clients tell us they rely on three key tools to keep their buildings running smoothly: internal staff, a preventive maintenance program and their building automation system. But is it enough? 1. Internal Labor - Building operators today are being tasked with doing more with less, while systems have gotten more complex than ever. In fact, 39% of HVAC technician jobs are vacant today and the talent gap is widening every year due to retirement. How do we make the staff we do have more efficient? 2. Preventive Maintenance Programs - The cornerstone of most well-run buildings is a commitment to proper maintenance. Routine physical inspection is one element that technology can't replace. But still, more than 75% of issues with equipment go undiagnosed with a PM routine alone. How can we make our PM programs more effective even when we aren't on site? 3. Building Automation Systems - A building's BAS is the most critical tool to operating it more efficiently. Yet, studies have shown that typical buildings waste 20%+ in energy simply from improperly operated systems. How can we keep our BAS from unknowingly costing us thousands of dollars each year? The answer is simple. Your Data. You already hold the keys to the issues with all of the above. Just one piece of HVAC equipment generates millions of data points in a year. It's just about doing something with it. You don't need additional hardware and it doesn't matter what brands of equipment or what brand BAS you have. If you want to learn how Gardiner Data Services combines the world's most powerful analytics platform with the industry's best HVAC team to solve the issues above, reach out to your Gardiner rep for a demo. #GardinerDoesIt. #Gardinerds
