Gardiner.’s Post

The Cleveland Museum of Natural History was just named the first museum in the country to achieve the highest possible US Green Building designation: LEED v4 (BD+C NC) Platinum! The honor is a testament to the museum's commitment to sustainability and the work of DLR Group and the design team over multiple phases, including Osborn Engineering. The HVAC plant was credited with providing a 32% energy advantage vs. ASHRAE 90.1 2010 and includes both a Multistack modular water cooled magnetic bearing chiller and modular heat recovery chiller. More impressively, Osborn's central utility plant redesign achieved: ✅ First cost reduction ✅ Year 1 energy savings ✅ Space reduction ✅ Increase in capacity ✅ Noise reduction ✅ Maintenance savings ✅ Simplified controls The museum's official Grand Opening celebration takes place December 13-15. Congratulations to the CMNH and the entire design and construction team. It was an honor for Gardiner and Multistack to be included on the project. #GardinerDoesIt #LEED
