All families like Cherry’s deserve the best care to help them thrive. We believe this deeply and know you feel the very same way. Your investment in excellent, equitable medical care today will help more families in 2025. Donate any amount to BMC by midnight, and your impact will go twice as far: https://bit.ly/3VM5cui Donations to BMC give more families access to life-changing care—from their start as newborns like Cherry who spent time in our neonatal intensive care unit to Bostonians in their later chapters receiving care in our nationally ranked geriatrics program. “BMC did a great job taking care of my daughter. They showed me everything that needed to be done. I see that they’re doing their job with their hearts, and I value that,” shares Tuyet, Cherry’s mom.

Every holiday season, patients undergoing radiation therapy treatment receive gift bags with essential items to help comfort them for the coming winter months. Thank you to BMC's Cancer Center Support Program for providing beautiful hand-made hats. Additionally, generous donations have allowed the department to provide socks, gloves, skin care, and gift cards to all 55 patients currently on undergoing radiation treatment.

When emergencies occur, BMC is the essential academic medical center everyone counts on. You can ensure these services are here for us when we need them. Donate any amount to BMC by midnight, December 31, and your gift will be matched: https://bit.ly/3P2tEDB Returning home from a Patriots Super Bowl parade, Brendan (pictured left with his mother, Susan, and niece, Molly) was in high spirits. Climbing the stairs to his apartment, one wrong step sent him falling backward. His head hit the tile floor below. His father rushed from the other side of the family’s duplex, finding his son unconscious and bleeding. Brendan needed help, and fast. An ambulance ride away was BMC, and its world-renowned trauma specialists. Brendan underwent an emergency craniotomy to relieve the pressure on his brain. In a coma with a ventilator helping him breathe, Brendan faced a long recovery. But he wasn’t alone. His friends, family, and his caring team of BMC providers were there for him.

In times of big change, it can often feel like there’s nothing you can do to make a difference in the world. But today, you have the chance to make a difference for children and families like Rashida’s (pictured right with her niece, Keira). Your donation of any amount to BMC by December 31 will be doubled multiplying your impact: https://bit.ly/3Dl2lC2 When Keira’s mother unexpectedly passed away, her aunt Rashida and uncle Ken adopted her and her siblings, then ages 3, 7, and 9. Keira especially struggled with the loss of her mom, and Rashida knew she needed help. That was when she discovered the Services for Trauma and Resources for Families (STAR) Program at BMC. “BMC has been great in helping me as a parent navigate this. They have been working with us to learn what we’re comfortable with, allowing Keira to have some autonomy in her decisions, and ensuring that she feels listened to. For us, it’s been the highlight of our experience at BMC,” Rashida shares.

We are excited to share that a group of generous BMC donors is matching donations to BMC! That means your donation of any amount doubles for BMC patients like Gerard (pictured left with BMC psychologist Shamaila Khan, PhD). Donate: https://bit.ly/3ZWOElE After an extreme anxiety episode on his way to a family wedding, Gerard found his way to BMC where he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Before getting the right diagnosis, Gerard tried hard to keep things together on his own. Starting medication and weekly talk therapy at BMC was a critical turning point. All healthcare, including mental health support, is vital. Help more Bostonians access leading mental healthcare and other services with a donation to BMC.
