A week ago tomorrow, the same day that Bergmeyer formally announced our B Corp status, we were thrilled to host a B Local Boston event with Christopher Marquis who spoke about his latest book #TheProfiteers and then facilitated a panel discussion with Boston B Corp members Lisa Hayles (Trillium Asset Management's Director of Shareholder Advocacy), Eric Hudson (Founder + CEO of Preserve), and Molly Broderick (Director of People Operations at DiMagi). It was a great evening of shared values, triple-bottom-line discussion, and refreshments from several B Corps including Luke's Lobster, Bonterra Organic Estates Wines, Allagash Brewing Company and Athletic Brewing Co., and other #BCorps. We dove deep into our business practices, meticulously assessing our impact on governance, our people, our clients, the communities we serve, and the environment. By scoring over 80 points in a comprehensive evaluation, we've proven our commitment to transparency, worker equity, and balancing purpose with profit 🌎 Bergmeyer achieved an impressive overall score of 101.8 points in the B Impact Assessment, far exceeding the minimum requirement of 80 points necessary for certification. Bergmeyer demonstrated exceptional performance in Workers (36.2 points), Governance (21.3 points), and Community (24.8 points) - scoring significantly higher than industry, size, and geographic benchmarks in these key impact areas.
