The Baltimore Community Foundation mourns the loss of H. Furlong "Baldy" Baldwin, a steadfast leader and philanthropist who served on our Board of Trustees from 1984 to 1989. A visionary banking executive, Mr. Baldwin exemplified integrity and community engagement throughout his career. Beyond banking, his contributions to arts, education, and history—supporting institutions like Johns Hopkins, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and the Walters Art Museum—left an indelible impact. We honor his legacy as a generous leader who believed deeply in the responsibility to give back. Our thoughts are with his family, loved ones, and all who were fortunate to know him. https://lnkd.in/e34bMK4X

The Baltimore Museum of Industry’s “Echoes from the Key Bridge” project is preserving the voices of those impacted by the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse. Through oral histories, video documentaries, and artifacts, this initiative not only commemorates the lives lost and forever changed but also empowers those sharing their stories. At BCF, we are proud to support this work with a $25,000 grant, amplifying narratives that might otherwise go unheard. Projects like this demonstrate the power of storytelling to heal, connect, and inspire. 📖 Dive into these powerful stories in a recent article by the Baltimore Banner: https://ow.ly/AqIF50UmzKf
