To keep motivation high after completing a major project, celebrate the achievement by acknowledging individual and team contributions through a team meeting or a small event. Share positive feedback from stakeholders and highlight how their work made an impact. Provide opportunities for reflection and growth by encouraging them to discuss lessons learned and areas to improve, showing that their input shapes future projects. Lastly, set new goals or introduce an exciting upcoming project to channel their energy toward the next challenge, maintaining momentum and a sense of purpose.

According to a Gallup study, organizations with high employee engagement experience 21% greater profitability and 17% higher productivity. After a major project, it's vital to maintain this momentum by recognizing individual and team contributions. Acknowledging efforts can be as straightforward as a heartfelt thank-you or a team celebration, reinforcing a culture of appreciation. Offering opportunities for skill development also shows investment in their growth, fostering long-term engagement. Additionally, encouraging team members to share their thoughts on the project's successes and challenges creates a sense of ownership and involvement.

After a big project, your mind and emotional state needs a rest. Give your time off to re-set their mind & body. This could be spread out or by way of an extended lunch break, late start etc.. Once your team has re-set (I find a day not to think is very effective) then re-gather and start again! Remember to take time to reflect on the competed project and all the success. Also look at the learnings you took away and ensure they are noted for your next project.
