It’s completely normal to feel lost at times, especially in the coaching journey. It's a path filled with growth, learning, and often, moments of uncertainty. Here are 5 short but effective pieces of advice I would give to myself when I experienced it: 1. Perfection is the enemy of progress. 2. Consistency is key in everything you do. 3. Don't look for ideas, look for problems to solve. 4. The faster you move, the faster you learn, and the faster you win. 5. Learn to say “no” to opportunities that don't align with your goals. Remember the key is to trust the process and remember why you started. Each step, even the difficult ones, is progress.

"Lost? That’s Just the First Step to Finding Your Power!" Feeling lost isn’t a setback; it’s a sign you’re on the brink of a breakthrough. In your coaching journey, moments of confusion can feel overwhelming, but they also open the door to clarity. Embrace this phase as a chance to explore new perspectives, rediscover your purpose, and build resilience. Just like a compass recalibrates, so can you—focus on your strengths, lean into your passion, and remember, every great coach once felt unsure. Your next step might just be your biggest leap forward!

Another strategy would be to expand your knowledge through continued education. You can enroll in workshops, webinars, or certification programs to deepen your expertise and stay updated on the latest coaching trends and techniques. Learning fosters inspiration and equips you with tools to better serve your clients and advance your career. It also motivates you to continue.

Feeling lost on your coaching journey is normal—it’s a sign you’re reflecting deeply, which is key to growth. Start by revisiting your purpose: why did you begin coaching? Reflect on the impact you’ve made so far, even in small ways. Seek guidance from peers or mentors to gain perspective and inspiration. Break challenges into smaller steps and focus on one actionable goal at a time. Remember, progress isn’t always linear, but staying connected to your "why" will guide you back on track.

• Try to step outside of your comfort zone and take on new challenges, such as new courses or a different career direction. • After each coaching session, consider what topics were discussed, what was expected, and what you could explore further in the next session. • Put yourself in your client's shoes, understand their emotions, and show genuine care. • Be respectful and open-minded, and be willing to listen to feedback. •Make sure you understand your role in the client's development. •Remember why you chose the job: Remind yourself of why you chose to become a coach. •Adjust your methods to fit the person and situation. • Don't expect to see results immediately.

We tend to start coaching from a set of skills and experiences. If we anchor ourselves too firmly, it may not give us a chance to grow. Even if your experiences over time may not change, your perception of them might. This may open new insights and possible contradict things we may have previously thought. Most of us are too old to know everything :) With any luck that knowledge continues to grow over time. We have to be comfortable coaching from whatever point we are in our lives. It's always going to be changing so learn to ride the wave as it comes to you.

Don’t underestimate the importance of your self-care in the mornings. Ground yourself with: - 10 minutes Box Breathing for clarity and round it up with Breath of Fire that gives you that extra energy push. - Journal to reconnect with your ‘why’. - A short morning walk to get refreshed and energized. - a healthy savoury breakfast filled with protein that fosters a clear mind. It really sets the tone of the day, and will keep you focused and aligned.

In times when I've felt lost in my coaching journey, I've given myself time and space to do the following: - Reassess my coaching business model to determine if that model still works for my life - Audit my self-care approach by asking "What do I need more of? What do I need less of?" and making the necessary changes - Reconnect with my coaching mission and assess if the clients and work I'm doing aligns with that mission

If you’re feeling lost, take a moment to reconnect with your purpose. Start by revisiting your coaching philosophy—what inspired you to become a coach, and what values are most important to you? Don’t hesitate to seek mentorship or supervision; experienced coaches can offer valuable insights and guidance. Finally, set small, achievable goals for your development. Focusing on specific areas of growth can help you build confidence and find your direction again. Remember, it’s okay to pause and reassess—this is how growth happens.
