I heard a term a few years ago that I find very useful.. it's called "resetting the room". When I finish with a client, I make my notes, close up my book and then get up and do something to clean up my space. Move something, fold a blanket, do a couple dishes.. anything to reset the space. By organizing my space it helps to close off the client and I'm ready and fresh for the next one.

Keeping your “why” in view can help fuel your energy for dealing with whatever others throw your way. It’s also important to schedule time to replenish and recharge. Take time to do something you enjoy, spend time with people who energize you, do something creative. Whatever the case, be as intentional about recuperation as you are about your work.

Do something that boosts your energy levels, right after the session. Like listening to music, connecting with nature, brisk walk, etc. 3. Eat healthy. That lays the foundation 4. I schedule 60 minute sessions and limit my day to 3 clients. Any more than that and I will wear down quickly. Once I've wrapped up a session, I finish my notes and then reflect on the session. I jot down what went well, what could have gone better or a question that I wish I'd asked. Once that's done and my space is prepared for the next client, I leave the space to have some water/tea/coffee and get love from my dog! Then, I'm all refreshed!
