Success isn't achieved by individuals, but by teams who believe in each other. At Old Town, I cultivate success by transforming recognition from a top-down approach to a collaborative ecosystem. I empower my team by creating transparent communication channels, celebrating both individual contributions and collective achievements, and ensuring every team member understands their critical role in our shared vision. I invest in my team's professional development, encourage cross-training, and promote a culture where leadership is about lifting others up, not standing above them. Every team member has a voice, every contribution matters, and together, we turn challenges into extraordinary experiences. Our success is collective!

Recognition should not be planned and should be not be intentional. But continued growth mind set can be a game changer. Nothing physical be equited to ones task and productivity. Having a community norm full of inclusivity in most spaces of decisioon making is just enough ans if done intentionally and if ones idea is not taken up, give feedback why it could not work at this time and maybe how can be improved or modified and if this is doelne progressively, that is enough

I make a point of recognizing my team’s hard work, whether it’s calling out a great performance during a shift briefing or sharing positive guest feedback in front of everyone. Small things like this go a long way in showing appreciation and boosting morale. I also encourage the team to celebrate each other’s successes. Peer-to-peer recognition creates such a positive vibe and makes everyone feel seen. When we hit a big goal—like smashing service records or pulling off a flawless event—I try to do something special to mark the moment, whether it’s a team meal or just taking a moment to thank everyone properly. For me, it’s about making recognition meaningful and showing how much I value what we achieve together
