The best way to acknowledge and express gratitude in this case is by recognizing the team’s effort in achieving the results and making sure this recognition is communicated to higher management. This can be done through an email or highlighted in a meeting. Celebrating successes not only reinforces appreciation but also motivates the team and sets a positive example across the organization. Sharing their achievement with senior management ensures their efforts are visible and valued at all levels.
-
We should consider the few options as below to recognize and enhance employees motivation: - Set up the virtual call to recognize the team. - Connect to the local leadership to organize the celebration for the team. - Public the achievement to the internal communication channel - Share in the Global or Regional Leadership meeting - Remember to conduct the face-to-face recognition when arriving there.
-
Recognize the contributions of each team member, whether through a shout-out in a team meeting, a personalized email, or a message in a group chat. Highlight specific achievements, qualities, or moments where team members went above and beyond. Celebrate the team's collective success in front of the larger company or on social media (if applicable). Public acknowledgment boosts morale and fosters a sense of pride. Set up a virtual event like a "remote happy hour," coffee chat, or themed party where everyone can relax and celebrate. You could have games, a trivia contest, or a fun activity that ties into your team’s culture (e.g., a virtual escape room or karaoke session).
-
1. Virtual Celebration Event: Organize a fun video call with games, trivia, or team activities. 2. Recognition: Acknowledge individual contributions during the call or via personalized messages. 3. Gifts: Send e-gift cards, care packages, or branded items to team members. 4. Spotlight Success: Share the milestone on company channels (email, social media). 5. Time Off: Reward the team with a day off or flexible hours. 6. Future Goals: End the celebration by discussing upcoming opportunities, and keeping morale high.

To celebrate a major milestone with a remote team, start by sending personalized messages acknowledging each member's contributions. Virtual celebrations with a fun theme — like a team trivia or talent show — can boost morale. Also consider gifting digital gift cards or team merchandise as a token of appreciation. A virtual 'thank-you' party with music, shout-outs, and a recap of the journey will add to the excitement. Most importantly, always ensure that the celebration highlights both individual and collective efforts, keeping the motivation high. A mix of recognition, reward, and bonding activities will keep the team energized for the next big challenge!

Recognition and appreciation are important to keep the morale high for the team’s success. Post-COVID pandemic, corporates have encouraged employees to work remotely, and many have joined companies remotely. In this scenario, keeping the team motivated, engaging, and connected with each other is of utmost importance. I will post the milestones of the team’s achievement in the internal company’s portal and during the virtual Team meeting, I will share the milestone with other team members. In case, any financial bonus/incentives are paid to the concerned team members as per the company’s policy, I need to share to motivate others.
-
1. Public Recognition • Acknowledge the team’s achievement during a meeting or through a company-wide email. 2. Team Event • Plan a fun team-building activity, lunch etc. 3. Rewards and Incentives • Give out personalized gifts, bonuses, or extra time off as a thank-you. 4. Highlight Progress • Share the impact of the milestone with the team, showing how their efforts contribute to the bigger picture. 5. Reflection and Feedback • Have a retrospective to discuss what went well and how to improve for the next milestone. 6. Build Momentum • Encourage the team to celebrate their hard work while focusing on what’s ahead. 7. Create a Legacy • Capture the moment with photos, videos, or a milestone wall in your office or digital workspace.

Try to know what exactly they like, for instance someone like football will send him a T-shirt for his favourite team, another one like makeup will send her something in relate.. and so on but independently.. then will make virtual call and everyone share his gift with us and celebrate together.

I like to learn about my team’s hobbies and interests, or sometimes I ask directly, “If you could have one thing for yourself or your family, what would it be?” Understanding their aspirations allows me to support them in achieving that goal, fostering motivation and connection within the team. It also helps me find the perfect gift or gift card to support their personal motivations.
