XIN Development has nearly topped-out their seven-story, 216-unit mixed-use development project at 429 Kent Avenue, in Williamsburg. Brownstoner stopped by recently to take a look at the progress, and façade installation appears imminent. Dubbed The Oosten, Piet Boon is designing, and completion is likely closer to 2016.
Flushing North LLC has filed additional applications to revive plans for a five-story, 18-unit mixed-use building originally filed in early 2014 at 557 Hart Street, in northern Bushwick. The building will span 17,422 square feet, and includes a 3,100 square-foot commercial component. Raymond Chan is designing, and an existing single-story structure must first be demolished.
The landmarked Pavilion Theater at 188 Prospect Park West in South Slope will be converted to condos and renovated to include space for a new movie theater.
An LLC has filed applications for an eight-story, 15,150 square-foot health care facility at 2846 Stillwell Avenue, on Coney Island. Ruslan Goychayev, of RSLN Architecture, is designing the project, which will be directly across the Stillwell Ave subway stop serviced by the D, F, N and Q lines. An existing two-story structure must first be demolished.
