On 7th December 2024, during the Final Gala, the winners of the 6th edition of the Polish Paralympic Committee’s Athlete of the Year awards, #Guttmanny2024, were announced. Among them, Kinga Dróżdż, one of our employees, secured 5th place. Kinga has long been a leader in global and European parasport fencing, but a Paralympic medal was the missing piece. In Paris, she achieved this milestone, winning silver in the individual sabre event and securing her place as a top athlete in the sport. The #Guttmanny awards are an annual event organised by the Polish Paralympic Committee, aimed at recognising the outstanding achievements of athletes with disabilities and promoting the ideals of paralympism in Poland. This recognition ensures that the national carrier will transport perishable goods to the highest global standards. LOT is further strengthening its position as a leader in air cargo transport across Central and Eastern Europe. As global demand for fast, safe, and efficient transport of fresh products grows, the CEIV Fresh certification guarantees that goods will arrive in optimal condition, regardless of distance or supply chain complexity. The IATA CEIV Fresh certification (Centre of Excellence for Independent Validators in Perishable Logistics) is an internationally recognised standard established by the IATA. It ensures the highest quality and safety in transporting perishable goods like fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, and flowers. “At LOT Polish Airlines, we are committed to the highest standards. CEIV Fresh is the third certification we have obtained, reinforcing our adherence to global IATA standards for air cargo transport. We also plan to increasingly use modern technologies, such as mobile coolers and dedicated containers, to improve our services.
