LOT Polish Airlines obtains IATA CEIV Fresh Certification We are proud to announce that LOT Polish Airlines has received the prestigious IATA CEIV Fresh certification. This recognition ensures that the national carrier will transport perishable goods to the highest global standards. LOT is further strengthening its position as a leader in air cargo transport across Central and Eastern Europe. As global demand for fast, safe, and efficient transport of fresh products grows, the CEIV Fresh certification guarantees that goods will arrive in optimal condition, regardless of distance or supply chain complexity. The IATA CEIV Fresh certification (Centre of Excellence for Independent Validators in Perishable Logistics) is an internationally recognised standard established by the IATA. It ensures the highest quality and safety in transporting perishable goods like fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, and flowers. “At LOT Polish Airlines, we are committed to the highest standards. CEIV Fresh is the third certification we have obtained, reinforcing our adherence to global IATA standards for air cargo transport. We also plan to increasingly use modern technologies, such as mobile coolers and dedicated containers, to improve our services. This certification confirms our commitment to operational excellence and we hope to contribute to the growth of Polish exports,” said Michał Grochowski, Director of LOT Cargo and Mail. #LOTPolishAirlines #flyLOT #LOTCargo

𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐔𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐆𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐇𝐎𝐒 𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓 🇧🇷 Our member, Sirva Brazil, would like to share with all the membership the current critical situation Brazil's, most important airport, Sao Paulo's Guarulhos (GRU) is facing. Airport concessionaire staff shortage, added to slow and bureaucratic processes from government agencies such as ANVISA, the Federal Revenue Service of Brazil, and VIGIAGRO, has led to an unprecedented accumulation of cargo. While the primary impact has been on imports, there is no direct reference to issues affecting exports so far. However, there is a strong likelihood that delays may cascade, affecting other operations, including both cargo and passenger services. To alleviate congestion, the airport operator, GRU Airport, has implemented additional working hours and incentives on weekends and holidays. In the short term, inbound shipments may need to be diverted to other airports, such as Viracopos Airport (VCP), located 94 kilometers from São Paulo, or Rio de Janeiro Airport (GIG), 421 kilometers away. It is advisable to consult with your LACMA agent in Brazil to assess the situation and determine the most suitable actions during this situation. More information: https://lnkd.in/ejNin4hC

We were delighted to contribute to Air Logistics International's recent feature on Perishables to promote our own cold storage facilities and our desire to support Scottish Salmon exports worldwide. In June it was reported that Scottish Salmon exports had leapt to a £645million five year high as international demand continues to grow. Between January and April this year £153m worth of Scottish Salmon exports were destined for the EU, £57m destined for North America and £37m to Asia. The China market grew by £5m to £26m for the same period. Both Cargolux and Air France Cargo operate scheduled flights to and from the US and Europe from Prestwick Airport. We are offering very competitive rates on dedicated air cargo flights - an attractive alternative to trucking produce down south for belly hold cargo.
