The Gatsby Benchmarks for good #careers guidance have been updated. Since the Benchmarks were launched a decade ago, careers guidance has been improved for millions of young people. A lot has changed in that time. The updated benchmarks will deliver even more impact for young people over the next ten years. The core of the eight Gatsby Benchmarks remains the same, but the changes that have been made are really important. ➡️ There is no immediate action required from you at this time other than to reflect, celebrate and encourage strategic thinking in preparation for implementation. ➡️ We encourage you to read the report, Good Career Guidance: The Next Ten Years, to learn more about the rationale for the changes and see examples of impressive practice: https://bit.ly/40O1S53 #GatsbyBenchmarks #careers Gatsby Charitable Foundation

Our partnerships with schools is the backbone of our work and we were delighted to bring together 26 Careers Leaders for our first network meeting of this academic year for the Derbyshire South area schools. ✅ Kindly hosted by Derby County Community Trust we had the opportunity to learn about about the education and support programmes the Trust have available to our schools, including information on post 16 and post 18 options. ⚽️📚📜 ✅ We were then able to update on the impact of our Hub projects last year and a run through of this years projects. Lots to look forward to! 👀🎯 ✅ We built in lots of networking time and feedback tells us that this was truly valued witv Careers Leaders leaving with a number of new ideas, contacts and actions to take forward- collaboration at its best 🙌 🗣️ ✅ A tour of the Derby County Football Club wrapped up the morning with some great photo opportunities.
