It is International Women's Day today, it's an opportune moment for the procurement community to reflect on the invaluable contributions of women in our field and reaffirm our commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity. Especially as we are a female founded business. Procurement, like many other industries, benefits greatly from diverse perspectives, experiences, and talents. Women play a crucial role in driving innovation, efficiency, and sustainability within our organisations. From negotiating contracts to supplier relationship management, women bring unique insights and skills that enrich our profession. This International Women's Day, let's celebrate the achievements of women in procurement and acknowledge the progress we've made towards gender equality in the workplace. It's also a time to recognise that there's still work to be done. Despite significant advancements, women continue to face barriers to career advancement and equal opportunities in many sectors, including procurement. As procurement professionals, we have a responsibility to champion diversity and inclusion within our organisations and across our supply chains. By fostering an environment where everyone, regardless of gender, feels valued and empowered to contribute, we not only enhance our business outcomes but also drive positive social change.  Here are a few ways we can honour International Women's Day in the context of procurement: Promote Women's Leadership: Advocate for women's leadership development programs and mentorship opportunities within your organisation. New courses and locations alert 🚨 We are excited to announce that we are launching some new CIPS Levels in new locations and formats. Starting in May 2024 we have a new CIPS Level 5 course starting in Nottingham which will run alongside our current Leeds, Sheffield and Online offerings. Starting in September 2024 we have a new CIPS Level 6 courses starting in Leeds and Online which will also run alongside our current Sheffield class.
