About us
The Good Schools Guide is the leading, independent source of information on schools in the UK, helping parents with every aspect of choosing the best education for their children. Our website and range of publications provide a comprehensive collection of advice and education data on state, independent, boarding, selective and non-selective schools, tutors, special needs, university choice and much more. For more than thirty years we have been visiting schools in order to write comprehensive and succinct reviews. We carefully choose the schools we wish to review; none can pay to be included in our publications. Currently, we review more than 1,100 schools, covering state and independent, boarding and day, mainstream and special sectors. If a school is not reviewed in The Guide this does not necessarily mean it is not a good school – our selection is a personal one. We are always gently expanding our coverage to include more good local schools. If you know of one that we have missed, or have got wrong, please let us know. The Good Schools Guide Education Consultants offers tailor-made help and support on all educational issues and regularly advises parents on how to find the best schools for their children. We are repeatedly asked to help professional families who are relocating and needing to find schools but we are familiar with every difficulty parents face in finding a new school for their children. The Good Schools Guide is independent, forthright, well-informed and unbiased which gives us a unique authority. Our expert education advice has earned us the trust of parents and educational organisations worldwide.

NEW SCHOOL REVIEWS 📝 Highlights of recent school visits include, Beechwood Park School, where parents choose it for its co-ed status, as well as its outstanding facilities, engaging teaching, opportunities outside the classroom and the confidence they build in the children. Tunbridge Wells Girls' Grammar School is a highly rated local school with high expectations and a belief that hard work and getting stuck into the arts and sport are, together, the key to success. At King's Hawford School Worcester, you’d be forgiven for thinking you were on a farm. One parent said, ‘It’s the sort of childhood I only ever dreamed of.’ And Shebbear College, which is a small, nurturing school that engenders huge loyalty from pupils and staff and where everyone knows everyone. With Christmas just around the corner, we’ve curated a delightful selection of books to gift children of all ages this festive season 🎄 Some of our favourites include: 📕Dogs Don’t Do Ballet, Anna Kemp and Sara Ogilvie. Meet Biff, the dog who dreams of pirouettes instead of scratching fleas, a charming story of individuality and big dreams. 📗A timeless classic, The Tiger who Came to Tea by Judith Kerr. It's the tale of a little girl called Sophie, who’s sitting down to tea with her mum when a large stripy tiger arrives at the front door to join them. 📘The Secret Garden Rewilded, Anthea Simmons. A fresh retelling of a classic, where young Mia discovers the healing power of nature on remote Dartmoor. 📙I Capture the Castle, Dodie Smith. AI is now impacting many areas of life and education is no exception. The subject is beset with conjecture and scaremongering, so we asked Adam Webster and Lex Lang, two experts in the field, to explain how AI and the ‘edtech’ tools they developed are transforming education at Caterham School. How AI is changing education, read here: https://ow.ly/A7vL50UkM8r #education #AI
