  • We are proud to announce that Aysgarth School is now a member of AEGIS (The Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students). This membership reinforces our commitment to safeguarding the welfare of international students, ensuring they feel safe, welcome, and cared for while studying in the UK. At Aysgarth, we value the global perspectives and diversity that international pupils bring to our community. Joining AEGIS reflects our dedication to providing the best possible support and care for every pupil.

  • We were delighted to welcome Fettes College for an engaging and inspiring day of sports and presentations. Our girls had the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of lacrosse on the main field, while the boys participated in cricket workshops in the Sports Hall and athletic development sessions on the Astro. After lunch we heard two insightful presentations about boarding life and the opportunities available at Fettes, sparking plenty of interest and discussion among our students. A big thank you to Fettes for sharing their expertise and enthusiasm—it was a pleasure to welcome you!

  • We’re thrilled by all the positive feedback from our recent "Day in the Life of an Aysgarth Pupil" film! Designed to showcase the vibrant and dynamic opportunities we offer, the day was full-on, fun, and inspiring – a perfect snapshot of life at Aysgarth. Thank you, Scott Bentley, Glen Burrows, Harris Alvi, Abe Stupple-Harris Joshua Hippolyte.

  • Aysgarth was delighted to welcome Sam Griffiths, Housemaster and Prep School Liaison Co-Ordinator from Shrewsbury School, for an engaging lecture on 'History Heroes'. The talk not only introduced our pupils to some incredible and formidable figures from history but also explored what truly makes a hero, questioning whether there are specific traits that all heroes possess. According to two of our younger audience members, the lecture was "brilliant" and "really interesting, as some of the people I had heard of, but didn’t know what they (Nelson Mandela) did!" A huge thank you to Sam for an inspiring and thought-provoking session!

  • A huge thank you to Danlu and Edukatus for organising such an incredible trip, and introducing Aysgarth to several agents and families. This is hopefully the first of many trips to China! Looking forward to building stronger connections and welcoming more international students to Aysgarth.

The finale to the Edukatus with Aysgarth School trip was spent delivering a seminar to parents as we explored the preparatory school provision that Aysgarth School can offer to the young people who want to fully immerse themselves in a British education. This was followed by the cultural delight of The Pear Garden Guild and exploring the hidden pockets of “old Beijing” nestled amongst the busy streets of offices, shops, restaurants and tea houses.

  • This weekend, we were pleased to welcome Jonny Hammond Chambers, Senior Registrar from Oundle School, who spoke to our Form 5 pupils about the transition to senior school. He provided valuable insights, addressing questions they should ask and easing concerns they had. Our pupils were delighted to hear that, thanks to their time at Aysgarth, they are more than ready for the next (big) step in their educational journey. Thank you, Jonny, for a truly enlightening and reassuring session! #SeniorSchoolTransition #ReadyForTheNextStep

  • We are thrilled to welcome 34 girls to the Aysgarth community! This exciting addition reflects our commitment to providing equal opportunities for both boys and girls while maintaining our focus on academic excellence and preparation for senior schools across the UK. With this expansion, we continue to foster an inclusive environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential. We are so grateful to the parents who put their children in our care.

  • At Aysgarth School, we believe in challenging our pupils to think deeply about complex issues. A huge thank you to Rebecca Paterson from Ampleforth College who led a thought-provoking session for our Year 7 & 8 pupils, discussing the important question: "When is something wrong, or is it just something I don’t like?" Through real-world scenarios—from a cat playing with a bird, to utilitarian dilemmas, pupils debated the difference between intention, outcome, and morality. These discussions encouraged our young adults to reflect on ethical decision-making and the balance between personal feelings and objective morality. Such conversations are crucial for developing critical thinking skills and preparing students to navigate moral challenges in leadership and life.
