Founded in 1991 as SportsCover Direct, Starpeak is an expert in specialist online insurance, servicing a variety of customers in both the consumer and micro/SME markets. Starpeak provides insurance to over 100,000 live policyholders across the UK. The new corporate structure will continue to see the company operate its consumer and business-facing brands: SportsCover Direct and Protectivity which is a specialist in commercial, leisure and lifestyle insurance.

Connecting with our coverholder partners is an opportunity for us to discuss regulatory changes and ensure our coverholders remain informed in an evolving market. Paul Howard, our Head of Coverholder Development, UK & Lloyd’s, led this year’s Coverholder Day, where insights were shared on the crucial role coverholders play in driving innovation. Throughout the day, there were sessions on underwriting trends and best practices to ensure the effective management of binding authorities, followed by discussions on governance and audit frameworks.
