  • On Thursday 5 December, Chief Constable Chris Noble will be taking part in a webinar hosted by the Emergency Services Times to talk about technology leadership in Staffordshire Police. The webinar, titled Strategies for continuous improvement through technology leadership features speakers from two different parts of the emergency services who will share with us how they are making the big decisions about investing in technology; what it takes to be innovative and keep the lights on while working with finite and sometimes shrinking budgets. With the Emergency Services Times partner Telent, they will explore the challenges, the pain points and the great benefits that come from targeted investment as they, like all blue lights, seek continuous improvement to keep the public safe. 🗓️ Thursday 5 December 🕑 14:00 -14:50 Sign up here for free: https://orlo.uk/6co7r

  • Today, we are launching a month-long operation to tackle drink and drug driving across the county. In December 2022, 467 collisions were caused by impaired driving, and 422 in 2023. The focus of our campaign will be on the "fatal four" factors, with officers working tirelessly to protect road users across the county. Since the launch of our new road crime team (RCT) in October, they have arrested 125 people suspected of driving offences, seized 276 vehicles, carried out 424 drug and drink driving tests and seized £1.1million-worth of criminal assets. More drink and drug drivers in Staffordshire can expect to face the full force of the law as our efforts intensify to crack down on offences on our roads. 🗞️ Read more ➡️

  • Last week we attended Counter Terrorism Policing West Midlands' first-aid awareness event for organisations in Staffordshire. Our Chief Superintendent Gemma Ward attended the critical event that highlighted the importance of staff training and public awareness of first-aid, which can save lives in the period of time before emergency responders arrive on scene to a terrorist or other major incident. #StaffordshirePolice #Staffordshire #Police #WestMidlands
