Anyone who knows me knows I’m not someone who is very good with positive recognition, so being named Revol of the Year by Revolent Group through my work at Protas is a bit outside my comfort zone. But I do want to take a moment to acknowledge this achievement and express my thanks to anyone who has said some nice things about me. This year has been a challenging and rewarding one, and I’m grateful for the support of, not one, but two amazing teams at Protas and Slalom. It continues to be an incredible experience working alongside people who are the best in the biz and teach me new things daily on my Salesforce and Clinical Trial journey. Here's to what 2025 brings 🎉

  • How do we move from understanding there were lessons to be learnt from the pandemic in how to improve clinical trial design and delivery to actually implementing them? As Head of The Good Clinical Trials Collaborative, Nick Medhurst and his team work with organisations globally to enable good clinical trials. But what makes a trial “good”? What does the future of best practice look like? Discover more about how the Collaborative is helping organisations to design and deliver good trials, and why five principles hold the key to promising new innovations in healthcare. “Due to COVID-19, clinical trials at that time were front page news globally. Why can’t clinical trials go faster? Why can’t we get better information? What counts as good-quality evidence? The pandemic starkly illustrated just how critical sufficiently large, randomised trials are. “The challenge now is in how to continue the momentum to transform clinical trials – which is fundamental to both the Collaborative and Protas.” Read the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/eqECCr4Q To find out more about the Collaborative, visit: www.goodtrials.org #ProtasPeople #LifeAtProtas #ClinicalTrials #Covid

We’ve contributed to: 1️⃣ Legislation tabled at UK parliament to reform clinical trial regulation – the largest overhaul in 20 years 2️⃣ A 10-Year Health Plan to enable NHS England to become “fit for the future” 3️⃣ World Health Organization's new guidance for best practices in clinical trials, which incorporates the work of our colleagues at The Good Clinical Trials Collaborative Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gJJaVb-p And let’s continue to build on this momentum together in 2025! #ClinicalTrials #healthcare #healthpolicy

Clinical trials that are founded on good guidelines are crucial for producing successful, informative medical research.    Prof Sir Martin Landray (Chief Executive at Protas and Senior Lead at The Good Clinical Trials Collaborative) shares how global guidelines promote and support informative, ethical and efficient clinical trials.    Key focus areas are:    💰Trial efficiencies: “Randomised trials are fundamental to knowing which treatments work and which don’t.” But the costs and complexity of running these trials have skyrocketed, meaning efficiency is critical.    🔬Quality: “Many of the guidelines and rules have constrained the ability of trials to adapt to a changing world.” Written decades ago, these guidelines often miss the mark on focusing on the core principles of what truly matters in a trial.    📃Good guidelines: “Good guidelines are needed to facilitate reliable answers to important questions about the benefits and hazards of medical interventions.” Simplifying and re-evaluating existing guidelines is crucial for a more agile and effective trial ecosystem.     Working shoulder to shoulder with leading international bodies and experts, Protas and the Good Clinical Trials Collaborative are focused on creating a system that makes good trials easier to do.     To find out more about us, visit www.protas.co.uk    #ClinicalTrials #GlobalHealth #MedicalResearch #HealthcareInnovation
