Oxford Space Systems' vision is to become the global leader of deployable antennas for Space.
About us
Oxford Space Systems' vision is to become the global leader of deployable antennas for Space, providing effective solutions today for the space based services of the future. Oxford Space Systems offers a portfolio of antennas aimed at improving performance, maximising stowage efficiency and minimising mass. Oxford Space Systems is one of a small number of new satellite hardware manufacturers and leverages innovations from beyond the space sector. We bring together knowledge of materials science, RF engineering, mechanisms and thermal engineering to make our deployable antennas smaller, lighter and cheaper than traditional designs. Many of our technology developments are driven directly by customers allowing our innovation to deliver direct benefits to their new satellite services. Our product portfolio is also evolving to suit emerging market needs and we use proven scalable technologies across the range to provide robust and reliable antenna solutions.

"We’re leading the way in deployable antennas for the new space age.” 🚀 📈 2024 has been a year of growth and achievement at Oxford Space Systems. Over our first ten years (2013-2023), we produced and delivered a total of twelve units of flight hardware. In 2024 alone, we’ve built and are set to deliver an incredible twenty six units - in just one year, we’ve more than doubled the total number of flight hardware from our first decade. We’re excited to see what 2025 has to offer, follow along to witness the next chapter of innovation at Oxford Space Systems. 🌍 📡 #innovation #deployableantenna #space

Another exciting project with an Oxford Space Systems supplied antenna! We look forward to more updates on this project !
🚀 Meet our Satellites: IOD-1 & IOD-2 🌌 We’re thrilled to introduce the backbone of our testing mission: two In-Orbit Demonstrators (IODs) that are scheduled to be launched and in 2025. The global systems engineering of the mission is led by Indra, with support from ENAIRE. 🌟 IOD-1 Fully manufactured by GomSpace, validated by Indra. 🌟 IOD-2 Satellite platform manufactured by Kongsberg NanoAvionics Payload designed and developed by Indra, vith the large VHF antenna from Oxford Space Systems, while the other subsystems collaboratively created by teams from Indra, Alén Space, ZeniaLabs Automation Intelligence and some others. These satellites are part of the ECHOES project, supported by SESAR Joint Undertaking, co-financed by the European Union under #CEF programme. The project aims to demonstrate the feasibility of a space-based solution for VHF Air Traffic Management communications, including #Voice, #CPDLC and #AOC. Scheduled for launch and testing in 2025, this mission will play a key role in enabling a safer, more connected future for aviation. Stay tuned as we continue sharing exciting updates about our technology! #SatelliteTechnology #SpaceInnovation #Aeronautics #IOD1 #IOD2 #Collaboration #ECHOES #ATM #SPACE #DIigitalSky #CINEA #SESARJUprojects #SESARJU

Great update from Startical! 📡 Our large VHF isoflux helical antenna will enable enhanced space-based communication and surveillance for global air traffic management as part of the ECHOES project. #innovation #technology #deployableantenna #airtrafficmanagement
Exciting Progress! We successfully completed a critical preliminary integration test for our mission. During this test: 📡 The VHF antenna of our satellite IOD-2, developed in collaboration with Oxford Space Systems, was integrated with the payload and consistent communication performed as expected. A huge thank you to all the teams from Indra and ENAIRE involved! 🟩🛰️The satellite, scheduled for launch in 2025, is part of ECHOES, a project supported by SESAR Joint Undertaking, co-funded by the European Union’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) and managed by CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency.

Thirty years ago, the World Wide Web began shaping our digital future 🌐 From simple connectivity to the powerful Internet of Things (IoT)- embedding digital technologies into our everyday world. The transformation has been huge. Fast forward to today and the introduction of Satellite IoT has extended connectivity beyond terrestrial network’s limitations and is revolutionising the way we interact with remote areas and the world at large 🛰️ This month marks four years since Oxford Space Systems’ first deployable helical antenna was launched by Lacuna Space, adding to their constellation and extending the reach of their IoT networks. These innovative deployable antennas enable satellites and sensors to offer remote monitoring capabilities to key markets, including; • Agriculture, forestry, and aquaculture • Utilities, especially linear infrastructures between cities • Environmental monitoring and ecology • Shipping logistics • Construction and mining Oxford Space Systems are proud to be a part of this journey, supplying deployable antennas for novel applications and transforming the future of our everyday world 🌍 #LacunaSpace #innovation #connectivity #IoT #space
